I was told RG was our prince coming to save us from Mike Bohn.No way RG pulls the plug regardless of how bad this gets outside of Kardboard Karl committing a crime....his criminal piss poor management of anything he's responsible for not withstanding.
RG doesn't want to deal with the search process, which is why we ended up with the current loser, and is also why we are stuck with this loser's multiyear deal - because RG just doesn't want to be bothered with it....and it shows.
If either of these two losers had any level of self awareness they would both resign in disgrace, but neither's egos can allow for that. In this respect they are truly made for each other.
With a fully guaranteed contract, it doesn’t matter when they fire him. He will receive the full amount regardlessI'm thinking that if we lose at Arizona and are either 1-4 or 0-5, the decision might be made then due to the bye week.
But probably not. It would be classic CU to wait until January 1 in order to save money on the buyout.

Wether RG knows anything or not it doesnt really matter anymore. If he gets someone bad to mediocre, which most ADs Nationwide experience (filling HC positions is hard), no one will give a **** or it will be a learn on our dime scenario. If however he gets someone great, rabbit out of the hat hire, SEC or B1G will hire him just like Mel Tucker after just two great recruiting cycles. Why? Because we no longer have the money to keep someone great.

What is Dorrell’s incentive to reduce his buyout after the season? After the Utah game when both sides come to an agreement on a reduced buyout.

Do the math. He could straight up retire either way. He was well on that plan when he woke up in a fantasy with Rick George on the phone telling him the lottery ticket was gold. We should have a thread of GIFs of Karl’s reaction to that call out of the blue.Potentially a bigger lump sum up front and he can straight up retire without having to worry about offset provisions.
I doubt Dorrell retires. I’m sure he’ll take some NFL WR jobPotentially a bigger lump sum up front and he can straight up retire without having to worry about offset provisions.

What NFL team would want him as a WR coach? I could see a custodian maybe.I doubt Dorrell retires. I’m sure he’ll take some NFL WR job

Dude.
There is some good material for a screenplay here:What NFL team would want him as a WR coach? I could see a custodian maybe.
Modern athletes need to know that coach cares about them. I don’t get that vibe from HCKD. The fact that he didn’t have his hand on the pulse of his best players last year tells me he is too distant from his playersI suspect that the next couple of weeks will tell us a lot. KD’s handling of the QB situation this week alienates the media and fans too. Several more embarrassing losses will alienate more of us fans and the media even more. That may make it harder for RG to justify keeping the current staff.
I hate that we almost have to hope for the team to lose big the next few weeks. I don’t ever cheer against the Buffs but is that what it will take? I feel like the players deserve better than that. They play their hearts out and give their all to the team. Does anyone else struggle with this too?
March would be better so you’d know which players to expect back in order to help with recruiting.I'm thinking that if we lose at Arizona and are either 1-4 or 0-5, the decision might be made then due to the bye week.
