In the wake of an internet rumor that CU's rumored leading candidate may or may not stay with his blue blood program because Urban Meyer may or may not retire either after this season or next season, but we don't really know... I think that the CU brass has to have some serious discussions about giving up on everything.

I honestly don't think this will happen.

for me to wrong, CU likely won't do it to ourselves. the Pac would have to kick us out. google is not helping me find the conference by-laws but I assume there are criteria for expelling a member school: blatant NCAA rules violations, blatant cheating (Chapel Hill fake classes kinda stuff).

maybe really poor attendance is in there, but WSU's stadium has a capacity less than our average attendance even during these past six years, so I don't see this happening.

and even if the Pac kicks us to the curb, I suspect the XII would take us back.

the only other way I see this happening is if there's a fundamental shift in college athletics (e.g paying players) and CU decides we're not willing to play that game.

Oh, hokie. Don't ever change. Love you, man.

I've always been in favor of creating a Front Range Conference:
CU
Lammies
Zoomies
WYO
UNM
NM State
UTEP

The pride and tradition of the Colorado Buffaloes will not be entrusted to the timid or the weak.

We need a few more of our fans to take on that attitude this week, lol.
