Where was the band?

the only thing I was embarrassed about at the game was our lack of a marching band. Biggest away game of the year and for whatever reason we decide not to bring even a skeleton band. That's some weak ass ****.

Aside from that, we played our asses off and I had a great first 15 minutes of game time.

Money.

You want a band, tell the AD to spend the money.

10 years ago, we sent a full band to at least 1 game a year.

5 years ago, we sent multiple small bands to multiple games.

This year, 1 band. Small. AD won't pay for it. It's what you get.

Echoing what Zandi said. Rick George is not as tight with band as Bohn was.

I get it though. It would have been tough to ask/beg donors to fund the facility project and spend money on sending the marching band all over the place.

If you want the band to travel, you either need to let RG know, or you need to contact the College of Music and ask for information on how to donate to the Golden Buffalo Marching Band.

Don't they go to road conference games? At least a smaller contingent? They were at the UCLA game last year. Is it just one road game a year?

They take 1 30 member pep band to one road game every year, and that is usually a school in California as that is where the largest donor contingent is.

It was also CU band day where the band hosts and performs for many high school bands throughout the day. The high school bands perform at Folsom and attend clinics and get interaction with the campus and high schools from across the state.

I think the band was right where it needed to be.
