Who are the hot names to get P5 HC jobs after this season?

Big Jim

WTF?
I saw a college football show on ESPN today and they said, with a straight face, that Kiffin and Chizik were hot names right now. Clearly Kiffin has built some currency the past 2 seasons and Chizik had a great year as DC at UNC last season. Herman is the obvious name; they threw TAMU as the logical next spot for him.

Kiffin
Chizik
Herman

Who else?

Lincoln Riley could be up for one, succeeds everywhere and saved Stoops job, ECU's collapse showed his impact there, coordinator of the year also tends to lead to a P5 HC gig soon enough. Really like Mike Sanford as well, does sooo well with QBs. Not too many P5 schools like to take risks on Coordinators but I'd say these two are better than most guys with HC experience, seems like a weak pool for HC experience and in general but we'll see how things pan out.

PJ Fleck if he can take the next step at WMU, he's risky for anyone but I wouldn't bet against him. I could also see Chad Morris turning SMU around quickly and getting picked up by a school. Matt Rhule could get one, but I get a bad vibe with him, which means he'll probably excel. Willie Taggart probably gets a job somewhere over there. Probably forgetting a lot but those are who come to mind quickly.

Bobo will when the Big 12 adds CSU making them a P5 team.
The Bobo jumping ship thing needs to die down. Sparkles didn't leave them in a good situation for the long term and Bobo doesn't seem like the coach that can fix that in a hurry. They will slide to mediocrity. Then they will hire another Fairchild who won't get the job done, but will restock the talent and then they hire another Sparkles.

Didn't they also lose that really good defensive coordinator they had?

If they give Bobo some time, I think he will be the guy who can restock them with good scouting/evaluation/development. His first real class has a couple of head turners out of Georgia for example. So much talent down there.

But I doubt he gets the chance. He'll take the fall for Sparkles' sole focus on transfers and Juco's to catapult him out of there. CFB is often like the Stock Market, short term results is all that matters.

Meacham and Wells are both good. Wells will coach in our league before all is said and done, and he's the one G5 coach I'd take a look at if we make a change after the season. Leavitts best shot at a P5 gig is here. I don't see a random school in another P5 taking a shot at him, and I don't think he's that anxious to leave CU.
