Who wants football when you can bitch about the weather?

Now imagine it with Houston heat.

Not as bad as the heat in the Philippines in November and that's not during their summer months.

My most hated month is here and I don't think I'm alone in that.
I usually love July. Camping, hiking, grilling, long sunny days. Some advantages to living at 8500 feet.

This year we will have to see. Tomorrow I go in to see what my podiatrist says I can do after my surgery at the end of May. Right now I would just be happy with being able to walk and drive instead of being trapped at home.

Worst ever was when they opened the doors on the airplane in Panama City. Five oclock in the afternoon and it was 99 degrees with rain. Brutal

Looked at the humidity & location and it wouldn't be much different from what I experienced at Boracay Beach in the Philippines. I was in Phoenix in July that summer and 110 degrees was nothing compared to those locations.

The humidity is what is brutal, feel like you just got out of a hot shower with all your clothes on an headed straight to the sauna.

Don't know about Philippines but making it worse in in Panama and other big Latin American cities is the pollution that gets trapped in the humidity.

Almost as bad this time of year is winter in Lima. The temperate drops into the low 50's which doesn't sound bad but it is cloudy, foggy, misty 24/7 with frequent stretches of garua which is a misty rain, not enough to accumulate and wash away the dirt but enough to make everything wet. Without a watch you have no idea what time of day it is.

The cold and humidity soaks into the walls, the floors, clothes and everything else. The worst is that it soaks into your mattress and bedding making going to bed feel like climbing into a big, cold, damp sponge.

This guy describes it well.

This thread has jumped the shark already.

I think that CU should recruit Las Vegas. Thoughts?
Yeah we should. I've been complaining about the heat here, lately. I forgot I'm a Colorado native, that grew up in the ****ing Permian Basin. :D

You’re being trolled, Mtn. Don’t fall for it.

With my foot in a boot and riding around the house on a knee scooter don't mention falling please. I don't want another six weeks of recovery time.

I don't know if the Philippines gets that cold but I knew several Filipinos and they said where they came from was very hot compared to here in Colorado. Bangkok in Thailand is pretty bad too based on the descriptions of the weather there.

I just remind myself of that weather every time it gets above 90 degrees here and then tell myself to shut up and deal with it.

At least all the places we are talking about have some redeeming qualities (even Houston.)

Worst of all might be spending a hot summer in the middle of Nebraska with temps in the high 90s, the humidity off the corn and coming in from Iowa, the blazing hot sun with no shade, all topped by the constant smell of manure roasting in the sun.

I would take 12 July’s over having to have January 2nd-March 31st ever again.

The weather sucks, nothing good happens besides a few bowls and the super bowl, the roads suck, snow sucks, the bad drivers are even worse. I ****ing hate winter.

Skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, ice fishing, making a snowman with your kids (or building a snowfort or a snowball fight)...

Yep. Winter sucks. Worst time ever.

This winter was a little colder than normal but it wasn't that bad. Put on a coat you babies.
With today's clothing technology, you can avoid being cold in pretty much any possible condition, especially easy for an hour or two. SMH at those that intentionally live in Denver and then complain about winter. If it is that bad, it doesn't snow in over half of our country. You have options.

I don’t snowboard anymore and even if I did I wouldn’t dare try to drive up I-70 in this state, the other activities I don’t care about. I do ice fish like 1-2 times a year and that’s only to get out of the house because winter ****ing sucks. I don’t have kids and never will and my dogs hate the snow too.

That’s always the best response because moving to another state is as easy as snapping your fingers and going. I’ll never understand how anyone can say they enjoy winter.

Everything after New Years is a drag...you’re just waiting for something good to happen in May while you freeze your ****ing ass off. The weather sucks and everything is dead and colorless. Going outside is a chore, it’s cold, dirty and slushy everywhere. Driving in it sucks, the animals leave, it’s dark going to and from work and so on and so on.

Sorry, no one will ever convince me that going outside on a Saturday in July to live plants, live animals with a beer in a T-shirt and shorts with a beer to mow my lawn is somehow inferior than putting on my ****ing snowboarding gear to go shovel 400lbs of snow before I can even get in my car to leave my house.
