Why Should I hate (insert team)?

It has been a decade since we leave the Huskers at the nearest run down truck stop somewhere on I-80 and told them to walk east. We know CSU is going to keep swinging and missing when they are trying to go big. I will admit that I haven't adapted well to the Pac-12 move but after thinking about why I started rooting for the Buffs, the rivalry part is a big reason for that plus the against the world mentality that we used to have. I guess I'm just going to just get with the program and start hating every team CU plays again.

And no, there will not be any polls. If you don't like that, just find an interstate highway overpass to jump off into incoming traffic.

First up is USC as in University of Southern California or is it University of Spoiled Children?

I lived in Southern California for about a decade and also served with a bunch of USC grads. I've never met one that I liked. As a group, I experience them as super-dooshy. The fans tend to be as dooshy as the grads.

There is no other fan base that I can say that about. I generally like about 80% of the people I meet. Not liking 100% of a group is noteworthy to my way of thinking.

It's the grads and fans that make it easy to hate USC. I'd say that behind nebraska and baylor, USC is probably the team I hate the most.
 
I know one person who graduated USC who is a decent person. Honestly, she's great.

Interestingly, she's the only USC grad I know who went there 100% on a merit scholarship (room and board), because her family is just barely middle class (just barely real middle class, not PAHI middle class).

Anyway she's great, married a Guatemalan immigrant who she met waiting tables in grad school - he was a dishwasher.

I view her as the exception that proves the rule true: USC grads are douches. Because every other one I've ever met has been nominated for biggest douche in the universe at least once.

Sometimes we need the exception to prove the rule.

I'm still waiting to meet my exception.

I was on deployment. Our USC neighbor (on base) started pounding on our door at one in the morning, demanding that my special lady let him in so he can access our kegerator. She refused to let her in and he called her a "c.unt".

The dude spent his entire OIC cruise cheating on his wife with one of his junior pilots. He got caught, but that didn't stop him from moving her in with him (and his wife and new baby) as a "tenant".

He got kicked out of the Navy, but continued his career as a pilot in the Army.

Every time my lady sees USC is playing she says "**** USC and **** Bobby (Last name)"
 
Don't know if I hate USC-but I do think its pretty funny that they have all they need to be extremely successful and are still unable to get out of their own way.

You seriously need to ask? Everybody should hate USC on principle.
 
I do know an USC grad but she would be an exception from the rule. Too bad for @Uncle Ken that he hasn't met that USC grad that is an exception for what an USC grad is...perhaps it's pretty rare in this situation. Every other USC fan, I didn't like 'em either...just like the same douchebag Husker fans on Twitter.

If CU is going to beat USC this Saturday, I'd love to see Tad pump his fists as if he just beat those Enfield USC basketball teams for everyone to see.



Maybe the Denver trained United pilots did this on purpose to those douchebags? Was Mike Bohn on that plane?

I know 2 USC grads. I worked with one that got his masters at SC in the early 90's. He was a Cobra Pilot in Vietnam. He was the one that introduced me to the spoiled children moniker. He said USC was full of assholes.

The 2nd I only met once. Is married to a cousin of my mother. He was an exec for Margaritaville. He had that douchey vibe and appeared to be an alcoholic.
 
Unfortunately, you can hate them, but it’s tough to rag them too much when you’ve never beaten them.

We used to remind KU fans how much we kicked their asses in football only to have the treatment returned to us via basketball. We can still remind USC fans that Enfield is Boyle's bitch.
 
I’m happy to see that douchebag is the general consensus on USC. That’s exactly my observation on the entire institution. So easy to hate.

Oregon (nouveau riche. Fooling everybody into thinking they are an historical power and/or actually a good school)
UCLA (douchey. But insecure douchey bc of USC)
ASU
Virginia Tech (had a lot do with being stationed in Norfolk from 1998-2002…lots of “in your face” **** without actually winning when it mattered)
Florida State
Florida (flight school roommate was UF grad…in 1996. Insufferable. Mini Boss was UF grad during 2016 deployment…and election. Insufferable)

Haha. It's funny how our impressions are made by those that we're forced into close proximity with in the Navy.

When I was in the BOQ during API (I'm not sure you ever lived in those, but two rooms shared one common area), my suitemate was the Jayhawk mascot from Kansas. Simply put, he was the weirdest dude I think I've ever met. I can't see the Kansas mascot without thinking about that strange little dude.
 
The whole city of LA gives off a giant douche vibe tbh. Not uncommon for ****ing randos to chirp some **** at you on the street for no reason. I have to spend time in Pasadena for family and work and I could never live there. Beautiful, yes, but the culture is pure ****. Money and status is all anyone cares about and they treat the underclass like dirt while pretending to be oh so ethical and caring. Sickening. **** LA. A shell of what made it great decades ago. USC’s success has made them insufferably arrogant while UCLA is just a bunch of pricks who think they are USC. Of anyone in the conference I hope those two the worst.

Hard for CU when it comes to USC though as they have never beat them. By some miracle the Buffs can pull it out this week I will be satisfied with the season. CU needs to beat SC during a year when they have playoff aspirations to really make its mark. Might be a while but I agree that this game needs to be circled every year.
 
My hatred for U$C was mostly manufactured until the Jason Hart incident. F*** him and f*** Andy Enfield

Also, there’s probably a generation of Buff Haters in the Navy due to my belligerent fandom.
