Will you feel better this Sunday morning after Ducks vs. last Sunday morning?

With additional reflection on our last game post watching the replay, I expect to feel better this upcoming Sunday morning versus how I felt waking up last week. Not sure how close we get, but I expect us to be within the 39 points (now) of the Ducks. In fact I do believe we will surprise many outside of Boulder with our play tomorrow. Gut feeling, but it is growing with me.

Odds makers and many Buff fans have been adjusting enthusiasm downward per CU post the OSU game. CU was a positive surprise up until the Beavs brought back some shades of last year for a portion of the game. Yet when you think about last week, it would have been much more shocking if CU had gone to Corvallis and crushed the Beavers. Or even won that game. Yes, they laid an egg as pressure mounted. CU had three weeks with no opponent, and Beavs played twice as many games as CU going into last week. Throw in some crap weather on the road and it looks rather predictable in hindsight. Add the additional weight of opening the conference schedule in Corvallis with several players experiencing their first real road game and first conference game..... wish it had not happened but its logical. Yes, we choked coming out of the locker room after an ok 1st half (solid half on defense).

Aside from special teams (which is admittedly a big deal) I trust this staff. It's a home game with a bunch of rust knocked off as we face Goliath, accompanied with little pressure on CU. CU will be loose and has found a bit of a running game. PRich and Woods will not be off stride to that same extent this week. Ball may bounce our way a little bit which would be a huge switch from last week. Yes I agree we have some flaws and Oregon will win the game, but I believe tomorrow will be the springboard for additional optimism as we ponder the rest of the Buffs season.

I believe my eggs will taste better this Sunday than they did last Sunday. Just a growing hunch....

I have absolutely no emotion invested in this game. We will get our doors blown off, just like 115 other FBS teams would. So yeah, I guess I will feel better this Sunday morning because I actually had a little hope last Saturday.

It sure would help if we could get some turnovers but Oregon is one of only 3 FBS teams that hasn't thrown an interception yet this season (Clemson and New Mexico are the others)

Most expect a complete blowout so ..won't feel much different than most sunday mornings since 2006.

That's because you are only about "scoreboard" and against UO scorebaord is a foregone conclusion. I'll be interested to see how the team reacts, how Wood in particular reacts, whether Gillam keeps his tackle lead, whether PRich can play against DBs as fast as he is, is Atkins the real deal.....there are many stories circling around this game besides Scoreboard.

How I feel on Sunday morning depends more on whether or not my wife and I can find a babysitter on Saturday night than on anything that happens during the game.

The harder thing is finding a babysitter for Sunday morning so that you're able to sleep in after cutting loose on Saturday night. (The real reason people with kids are boring.)

Kids are now old enough to handle themselves in the morning. It was a glorious day when my daughter could pour cereal for her and her brother.

That wasn't the topic. I'm interested to see adkins and if our OL improves. Also want to see our dl and db's make some plays.

Ridiculous thread.

Getting curb stomped by both Oregon schools in consecutive weeks feels great. Thank you, sir, may I have another.

Signature win!

I will enjoy reading everything I can find the day after the football team channels their inner Lady Buff volleyball.

That was a great game! Buffs were totally powerful and played tremendous defense. Some of the returns by the shorter woman, from the back line or deeper, were unreal.

I will feel worst this Sunday. Last Saturday I watched the game in my living room at the time games are supposed to be played. I got to bed at a good time and the sting of the game had dissipated. This week I will be watching the game freezing at night. I will get home late and cold and not get a good night sleeps because I will be still be bummed out because of the game.

Better. We all knew what was going to happen yesterday. Buffs played a great first quarter and played with heart throughout although they were obviously over matched by possibly the best team in college football.

If they play like they did yesterday against all of our remaining opponents this year, they are going to be winning some games, especially at home.

Better, much better

The team showed that they can bounce back from a bad game and still give it all they've got even when they are outmatched and outgunned by the best team in the nation at this point. We probably won't win any road games other than Utah (not counting it as a win, just as our only real chance at a road W), but we can beat some teams at home if we can play like that, I'm looking at you Zona, Cal, and SC.

Sent from a red light

2 burritos and a half a pot of coffee and I feel better. Maybe it was all the beer yesterday, but I definitely felt that was a beating the Buffs can hold their heads up after. Sure they made mistakes and were overmatched, but anyone who was shocked by that hasn't been paying attention. They kept fighting and while they were giving up third down conversions, they did force those third downs.
