Wiscy pursuing Mike Riley from Oregon St

If he wasn't willing to leave Oregon State for USC, I doubt he'll leave for Wisconsin. Sanctions aside.
 
Maybe he'd be more willing to take a job where he isn't competing in the same conference with his old school.
 
Maybe he thought the Bama job would open up sooner rather than later, which has not materialized.
 
Riley is a damn good coach. It's tough to think that Sac St beat his team last year and then he ends up winning a **** ton this year.
 
Riley has an "aw shucks" demeanor that will not play well at a lot of schools. I think he's a great coach but I just don't think his style would be accepted everywhere. I would be very surprised if he left Corvallis.
 
I think this is all about getting a raise. He knows he is underpaid and needs to take advantage of the landscape this year.
 
The dust will settle and wiconson will get a good name, but everyone that was bashing CU for not landing a BCS coach needs to see this. Wisconson has been turned down by Golden and Riley (if the rumors are to believed), and this is a great program that is going to the rose bowl.
 
wisco is a good job.... problem maybe for some is the high % incentive based ..low base pay that wisco likes to do

To piggyback on this idea, Wisconsin is 10 days into their search and is already on their 3rd name if these rumors are to be believed. Where is all the outrage that they didn't hire somebody in under a week, and that they couldn't get their A-listers?
