I had the good fortune yesterday to have a friend who had an extra ticket for me at the 5th row, 50 yard line on the Niners' side for the Niners-Rams game at the LA Coliseum (for free!). I'm a lifelong Niners fan, but in addition to that I took the opportunity to watch Witherspoon up close in his rookie NFL season. Dude was deactivated for the first 4 games, and has now started 8 NFL games as a rookie. He looked good, and is the only corner on the Niners' roster signed through next season. Fast, tall, and good coverage. Was on the field every defensive play, I believe, and some special teams. Even forced a fumble. He'll have a career.
