Women's basketball: CU Buffs' Huggins looking at bright side of injury

Good news!

Huggins got the redshirt granted and has 4 years of eligibility remaining. She's back to 100% already.
 
I've got mixed feelings about this. In the long run this is absolutely the right thing. I know she will be better than ever next season. But I can't help wondering how much better we could have been late last season if she had been able to play. Especially after injuries to MMP and Kresl, how nice would it have been to have Huggins able to come off the bench? I'm still somewhat bummed that they weren't able to send Chucky and MMP out with at least a trip to the Sweet 16.

The BDC today printed a correction ... "Huggins has 3 years of eligibiity remaining. She can petition the NCAA for a medical hardship which would give her a fourth year of eligibility"

Hope she gets it. I don't think Lauren would have been in physical condition to play.
