As I just mentioned in a thread set up for tennis, I've wanted to set set up some individual threads to keep up with the more individual Olympic sports (golfs and tennis) during their off-season, which in these sports still seems to include some intense competition.
For this thread, women's golf, looks like the team is off to a very good start-
Looking forward, the Buffs have 3 tournaments in October (in Washington state, Hawaii and Dallas) to finish off the fall 2017 pre/ off- season.
For this thread, women's golf, looks like the team is off to a very good start-
- They started off a couple weeks ago in Albuquerque at the Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational, and finished in a solid tie for 3rd (with perennial power Stanford) (per http://www.cubuffs.com/news/2017/9/...d-at-branch-law-firm-dick-mcguire-invite.aspx).
- And, just yesterday, the Buffs finished with a 9 stroke victory (with Illinois finishing 2nd) in a less competitive Coeur D'Alene Resort Collegiate Invitational tournament in Idaho, but still a VERY impressive performance as MULTIPLE team and individual Buff scoring records went DOWN and the Buffs beat 17 other schools. (See http://www.cubuffs.com/news/2017/9/27/womens-golf-breaks-school-record-wins-in-idaho.aspx for a recap, and a list of the records the team set or tied.)
