The Buffs are an all-time 0-14 in the Maples Pavillion, not many teams are going to beat the #4 ranked Cardinal at home.
Stanford shut down the paint, holding the Buffs leading scorers in check. Jaylen Sherrod led the way with a team-high 15 points but left late in the game due to an injury. Several other Buffs had solid performances and contributed on the glass. Quay Miller posted a double-double despite leaving the game briefly due to a foot injury, finishing the game with a solid 14-point and 10-rebound effort. Additionally, Aaronette Vonleh had a decent 13-point performance with nine rebounds. The Buffs need bigger performances from these three stars, as well as Frida Formann(5 PTS) if they want to win big games.
The Buffs couldn’t steal the second game but a series split on the road is impressive regardless. It's California’s turn to head to Boulder as the #25-ranked Buffs have home matchups with #8-ranked UCLA and USC.
