Would the Big 12 have gotten any additional revenue if CU had been selected?

Usually there would be a split with the conference. But CU is a special case this year. Didn't we negotiate an exit penalty that was a fixed amount for 2010-11? Wouldn't that mean that anything above that amount CU brought in was an amount that CU kept?

The NCAA tourney usually pays a conference about $250k per round per team for the first couple rounds. Anyone know if the Big 12 had any financial incentive to lobby for the Buffs?

Even if it did, what's the normal split? If we're talking about a low figure for the conference, it may not have been enough to outweigh a desire to screw the Buffs.

I don't believe the money mattered as much as telling CU to stick it up their arse.

Another important #: Beebe gets 0 more dollars if CU gets in the tourney. And perspective wise, getting CU in does nothing for him, his conference, or his reputation. In fact, it makes him personally look worse.

So Beeeebeeeee and conference basically didn't hold up their end of the obligations. Aren't the conf commish's supposed to work for spots in the tourney, just like they lobby for bowl games, bcs game assignments, etc.? Would it appear that this is not the case?

Maybe we should sue the conference.

Beebee was looking out for the interests of KState and UT. The best way to avoid losing to the Buffs is by keeping them out of the dance.

So this is what's meant by March Madness. Screw it. I ain't tuning in.

They breached contract and we deserve our money back? Hard to prove though since the are quarantined from the rest of the world...
