Would you be up for playing Notre Dame in 2025?

With the addition of the Houston Series, I noticed that we need another game in 2025, and the smart thing to do is add a winnable FCS or G5 game because we already have tough games, but....

Why not try and add Notre Dame on 9/13/2025, who needs another game also in 2025 and call it the 35th Anniversary Game of the epic 1989-1990 Games between us??? Maybe we could play it at Mile High Stadium and pack the place, or maybe it fits into a game in Dallas at Jerryworld?

So, would you be in favor of this game?

Playing Notre Dame automatically makes you the focus of a major audience nationwide, beating ND gives you credibility.

Yes, I'm in favor.

We actually need Notre Dame to play us at home, or at Mile High based on not having only 5 home games. Mile High game with a big sponsor would be best option to get them here!

Game Plan:

Play the game at Mile High Stadium
Get a big time sponsor for the game stadium rental (Estimated at $450,000)
Buffs get 55,000 seats to sell at a hefty ticket price (at least $200.00 each)
Notre Dame gets 15,000 seats to sell at same hefty price
Stadium gets its concessions cut and parking
National TV slot potentially guaranteed
HUGE, HUGE Recruiting weekend
If we net out the same as a home game cash flow wise, we are good, and if Notre Dame comes out at somewhere close to $2,000,000 in ticket sales, so be it.

Maybe I am full of it, but I will call RG on Monday to get it going.

Would be a tough OOC but a good year since you miss Oregon and Stanford. If sign up for them any year though.

I'd love for it to be a campus game but if it's just a 1-off game then maybe it could be one of ND's stupid "Shamrock Series" games for that season by playing us at Mile High. They played BC in Fenway a few years ago, are playing Cuse at Yankee Stadium this year, and they have future games with Wisconsin in Chicago and Lambeau coming up.

I like Notre Dumb about as much as I like the Butthuskers. Yeah, sign them up! I'd love to see the Buffs pound on that team!

ND needs a Brian Kelly "breather game" in 2025 (something like they have scheduled for today). I don't see them going for another P5.

It'd be cool though.

1 - yes.
2- doesn’t ND usually schedule Stanford?

Yes, but I highly doubt that ND would agree to a one-off where we're the home team and have most of the tickets.

They'd probably want to split Mile High at the least. More likely they'd want us to come to South Bend.

The above offer would not even get a response from ND.
