Below is re-posted from the Scout CU free board. If you email him, be sure to mention AllBuffs and Sackygate. Looks like a guy we may want to hook up with if we go up to Corvalis.
[h=4]So I'm working on a project, and I need input![/h]
My name is William Heinrich and my family and I are avid tailgaters following the Oregon State Beavers (see our website www.Heinrichtailgater.com ). We throw some fun tailgaters, but we are always looking for new, interesting recipes, gadgets and things to fold into our festivities… I am also asked a lot about what I do, where I got something, where to eat, points of interest, and general information about Corvallis where the Beavs play….
So, I decided that I am gonna start a podcast dedicated to college football, tailgating, really concentrating on the Pac12 in general, and following the Beavs and who their opponents are each week! I know what I have been doing for the past 20 years and interesting facts and locations around Corvallis, but I want input from others on the topic! I want others opinions, tips, recipes, and questions to help motivate the conversation every week!
So here are some of the things I’m looking for:
1.) What is a good local, regional or city/state food or dish that really says where your team is from? Examples are Juicy Lucy’s from Minneapolis, Deep Fried Cheese Curds & Brats from Wisconsin, Crab Cakes from Maryland, or Po’Boy Sandwiches from New Orleans…
2.) Do you have any recipes that are fan favorites at your tailgaters?
3.) What are some interesting facts about your team, University or city it’s located in that you are proud of or that others don’t know of?
4.) What restaurants are local favorites around the University or are “must do’s” before a big home game?
5.) What local attractions should tourists or away team fans visit when they visit your town/University?
6.) What tips do you have for visiting fans to your town/University/Stadium?
7.) What do you want to know about Corvallis/Oregon State/Reser Stadium?
8.) What tailgating tips do you have? Any cool gear? Any cool websites or links?
9.) Anything else that pertains to college football, the Pac12, the Oregon State Beavers, Corvallis or tailgating in general that you know, wanna know, or needs to be known?
Thanks to anyone who takes the time to respond! Like I said, tailgating and the Beavers are passions of my entire family, and I look forward to sharing that with other passionate people! I hope to start recording and posting shows in August, and do weekly shows over the course of the season. Like I said, the shows will have a slight focus on Oregon State and their weekly opponent, but it will also cover the entire Pac12 and FBS college football as a whole. So, if you have ANY questions, comments, concerns or what have you, PLEASE email me at Illegalparticipationpodcast (at) gmail (dot) com
Thanks! And when I get the site for the podcast up and running, I will post the info here for everyone to check out… and hopefully listen to!
