Guess the Attendance: Rocky Mountain Showdown

Last year's Tuesday tweet from Howell (someone posted it as a response tweet):

Looks like we're doing a bit better with the CU students but all the 35 year old assholes are slow to get off the pot for the 1st game of the Mel Tucker era.

and some of us old bastards are still sitting in our seats from last year's game thinking "this is the longest damn halftime I have ever seen"

Honestly I was expecting a dip in student passes this year so this is really good news.

I assume the bulk of the student numbers are season package deals they purchased during registration? I wonder how many of those folks regularly show up for games?
This game as much as any. Party buses and public transportation will be flooding 36 tomorrow.

My little brothers exact quote was "we are turning RTD into the trap." I have no idea what that means or why a white suburban kid would say that but tifwiw.
Hahaha. Never seen so many asses than when we’d have to pull over on 36 because we were too cheap to get a party bus with bathrooms. Gotta love CO girls.

Very solid student numbers. It probably has more to do with it being a night game on a Friday night but who cares? We already have more than half the stadium filled with Buffs.

This should be a fun sendoff to Denver.

11,100 is the number of student season tickets they've sold. Since these count the same as adult season tickets they'll count towards the attendance of each home game (even though I don't think they can even fit that many people in the student section anymore after they moved the band over in 2016. The biggest number of actual student scans for a game that year was 8,000. I don't have the figures for the last three seasons but I doubt there were many with more students than the 2016 UCLA or Utah games. The disparity between the number of student passes and the size of the section in the stadium is how you get a game like Arizona State last year which didn't officially sell out but which had an attendance of 2500 over listed capacity.) The CSU game is regularly the biggest student attendance of the year. Probably close to 10,000 in recent years.
