'20 TX S Christian Gonzalez (SIGNED to COLORADO)

Guys! I just saw Christian tweet that he committed to the University of Colorado. What do you think that means?

Welcome young Buff!!!
You are part of a very special future
Class of 2020 has “eyes” on a Championship. (Sweet pun huh!)
Awesome

I would assume so, but supposedly the ability to play both ways was a selling point. He's a day one two deep guy at Safety
It would be fun to see that kind of fluid athleticism at Free Safety. Moreover, it would be wonderful to not feel compelled that a D-Back with athleticism HAS to play corner. We had that luxury with Tedric Thompson but I can't remember the last time before that.

Gonzalez' squad came up short in the contest, but he provided big plays on both sides of the ball to help the Cougars' cause. Gonzalez caught two passes for 111 yards and two touchdowns -- plays that covered 36 and 75 yards, respectively -- while recovering a fumble and breaking up two passes from his spot The Colony's secondary.

As you can tell from the first highlight, Gonzalez displays terrific body control and ball skills from his ample snaps playing receiver. Not only does he play both ways, but he's a return game option and also served as The Colony's punter. He owns a 21.65-second personal best in the 200-meter dash that qualified him for the Texas Class 5A state championships this past May.
