I honestly would have expected Bohn to have learned from his mistakes. Instead, he seems to not be willing to admit any mistakes have been made.

I’m having trouble understanding what Bohn has done wrong in this scenario. Seriously. Nobody really knows what’s going on yet and If people actually think he is operating by himself in this situation, you’re kidding yourself.

My dog Spot can see that USC needs to blow this up. See recruiting.

Stop. Blow it up. Stop.

Right. There are a lot of bad takes here. If SC fires Helton this week and lands Urban, it’s a home run.

is this better?

This is obviously not true, but if it was, Clay Helton would straight tell them to pound sand as he would make more off his payout than anything UNLV or any other G5 would be paying him. I guess you have to give it some thought though, because, well, Mike Bohn is in charge of this.

They hired Bohn because he is very good at taking orders.

The entire USC situation is a mess, Bohn doesn't have the real authority to fix it and he wasn't hired to fix it.

It looks to me like the money people behind the SC program can't decide what they want. Bohn's job is to put a good front on it until they do decide.

The whole thing probably hinges on if they can make a deal with Urban, until they have an answer they are going to keep milling around looking confused.

He’s turning a coaching search into a circus. Does he keep Helton? Does he fire Helton? He did the same **** here with Hawkins. That was 10 years ago. He’s letting the story grow legs and not controlling the narrative. It’s his job to control the narrative, but he doesn’t seem to think that matters.

Do you think Helton should be the HC at USC? If not, why is it being dragged out over several days?

You and Serenity have fallen prey to the "Urban or bust" mindset and Bohn is allowing that narrative to fester. He could make a decent to good hire and it would not matter because that guy is not Urban.

Classic Bohn tunnel vision.

I mean I won't pretend to know all of the happenings at USC, but Helton should've been fired the morning after their last game. Nothing beyond that. No Urban lined up needed. Helton needs to be gone, that's all there is to it. Now it's a ****show, which is a Bohn specialty. Anyone can hire Urban Meyer, Bohn's issue will be if he can't land option A. Bohn doesn't do option B well.

Being Mike Bohn?

Expect Norvell to be announced at FSU sometime over the weekend after his conference championship game.

Ole Miss is using a search firm because they didn't plan on firing Luke until they did and did no research on candidates.

Norvell has said thanks, but no thanks.

Keep an eye on Billy Napier, Bill Clark and Mac.

I think he has played it smartly. He knows USC will be the big fish if he wants to fire Helton. No other competition in this cycle. Test the waters for now or later and, in the meantime, have Helton put together a plan - including contingency plan if Harrell leaves - and hold him accountable.

I view most of these posts as anti-Bohn sentiment, rather than assessment of the situation.

They are working on accountability measures - including staff changes - something Swann never did.
