Please beat Utah this week to shut them up

Jimmer may not have been the force in the NBA Jordan was but Jimmer had a superior college career than Michael. Nobody really heard of Jordan until he joined the NBA. In the meantime, Jimmermania swept the nation and he was the main story line in college ball for an entire year. BYU would've made the Final Four in Jimmer's last year and likely would've won a national championship if not for the Davies suspension. I still suspect a Yewt narcked on Davies but we'll never know for sure. Yewts have a long history of telling on BYU players for Honor Code violations.

Anyway, the NBA is just a different animal where personality tends to rule. Coaches in the NBA didn't care for Jimmer's background and his style. Had he been treated fairly and given a real shot, Jimmer's NBA career would've been much more successful. His trajectory would've been more like Christian Laettner or Grant Hill in the NBA but he never was given the chance to develop.

Ah, the old Jimmer Fredette/Michael Jordan GOAT discussion. A tale as old as time.

Have the Buffetts sold out your trashy stadium even once since 1990?

Didn't think so.

Not even once! I don’t even think we’ve even sold 52K seats since 1990!

This is almost a good troll job, but it's too implausible that someone would actually try to compare Jimmer to Jordan (even in college!) and say that "no one really knew about Jordan" in college. In his first season at UNC Jordan was the ACC rookie of the year, made the ACC-all tourney team and the NCAA all-tourney team. By his sophomore season he repeated his appearance on the ACC and NCAA all-tourney teams, as well as being named a consensus All-American and the Sporting News college player of the year. In his third and final season at UNC he swept pretty much every major award- the Wooden, Rupp, and Naismith. The Sporting News, USBWA , AP, UPI, and NABC Player of the year. He also repeated as a consensus All American and a All ACC and NCAA tournament player. By the time he was taken in the top 3 in the draft (a position that requires people to "know who you are"), he was very much a household name.

By the way, Jimmer won many of these same awards, but he did it all in one season (2010-11) as opposed to Jordan, who had more accolades throughout a shorter career.

The only place where Jimmer was more well known than Jordan during their respective college days is Utah.

Seems like they specifically narc on the black athletes.

If you didn't stay long enough to experience a young wayward Mormon girl who 'strays from the flock' before turning back to the ward in her mid-twenties, you missed out on special treats. They pretty much all try to get some of the repression out of their system. So eager.
Check, check, and check. Cute with curly blonde hair and hairy nipples. I was just 19 and it threw me for a loop! She had dated a BYU DB and loved wearing the Orange Bowl (tells you how old I am) jacket he gave her.

Married a part owner of the Jags (?) and started plastic (started with hair removal, no doubt) surgery in her 30’s. Looks like hell, now. Bullet dodged.

I don't think Jello was suggesting to keep tabs on them through the decades.

I didn’t.

Edit: If she hadn’t had so much bad work done, she could have been on “Lonely Housewives of West Palm.” The hairy nipples were a deal breaker for me way back when. That, and fun was against her religion.

Hairy nipples, eh?

Whe I lived in Wyoming surrounded by yewtah jazz fans I used to love watching Jordan straight **** them up a few times a year in the salt palace. Nothing more delicious than sanctimonious jazz fan tears.

Since we're on the subject of dumb **** having to do with the state of Utah-do they even know what Jazz is?

Or how lame Utah must be that they didn’t have something local to rename the team after.

I guess the Utah strippers or SLC gamblers don’t sound good.

since we've headed into the sister wives thing with gusto (via our fake byu troll), i do have a few questions.

thankfully, for the sake of decorum, i will keep those questions to myself as i find the practice to be evil, misongynistic, often pedophilic and rapey, sinful, and just plain ****ing dumb.

Decorum is overrated.

You guys apparently didn't watch the basketball game vs. the Yewts. They cheated and flopped all over the place. The refs called the game completely in their favor Yewtah got like 30 fouls called on BYU and we only got like 8. Those bummy PAC-12 officials were on a mission to hand the game to the Yewts and it was so obvious. I was in attendance at the game and so the whole thing up close. That is when I wasn't trying to avoid a drunken smelly Yewt.

Scoreboard doesn't matter one iota. I know who the better team is.
