Preview mags

This has to be the toughest year ever for the pre seasons publications with so many unknowns about the season in general.

I browsed Lindys and Athlons today.
One of them picked Buffs 6th in South and the other picked Buffs 4th in South.
Was a little shocked at the 4th. I figured we would be picked last in every preview.

I remember how excited I used to get when those mags would first hit the shelves. They're pretty much worthless now in this internet age. Kind of like porno mags.

I still get a copy of Phil Steele every season.

Didn't Steele predict ****braska was going to play in the Big 10 Championship ?

I used to buy all the preview mags for college and NFL. One year, i even got a relative in WI to purchase a few of the NFL mags for me because they used to (probably still do) regionalize the covers and I wanted Green Bay players in my collection.

The best sports magazine I ever read regularly was The Sporting News. I used to love that subscription -- i suspect they're out of business now.

Sporting News was great baseball coverage.
Steele and Athlon are my choices for CFB.

I usually always buy those preview magazines the moment I see them on store shelves. I will wait until it is more clear that CFB will be played before purchasing those.
