Official Michigan State/Mel Tucker Hate Thread

Tucker is doing the same thing he did here: beating the team the fans most want to beat (Nebraska/Michigan) while losing to conference teams that he has no business losing to (Arizona/Rutgers).

That will be enough to keep him employed for a while.

South Carolina is going to need a new coach soon, so...maybe a year?

Lucky for him both CU's and MSU's rivals have been hot garbage when he's played them. If Michigan gets its act together, he won't even have that to lean on.

And like we saw here, 2020Michigan/ 2019Nebraska are both pretty bad and those wins are not as good as initially thought.

Maybe we are seeing why a coach who is a Saban disciple, spent a lot of time at big tent programs, has multiple NC rings, spent time all over the NFL as a position coach and DC, is just now getting his first opportunity as a HC. The whole “I’ve been waiting my entire life for the right opportunity” line always seemed kind of hollow to me. I just don’t think he’s a guy who has proven to be anything special without a top 2-3 roster in the sport.

Time to turn the page, boys.
Think Mad Men GIF

6-10 as a HC overall, 1-3 this season being out scored 135-60. Turnover margin of -9 (14-5).

The incompetence that’s on display in East Lansing this year is some serious JV level **** and might only be outdone by the laughing stock down the road in Ann Arbor.

But how is he recruiting???

Mel Tucker is a very good recruiter. Got to give him credit on his DL recruiting at CU. But the jury is still out on his coaching ability. His character or lack of it is also an issue with him. Karl Dorrell has led UCLA teams to bowl appearances. He is a proven commodity. I think CU was lucky to get Karl Dorell. I also like Dorell coaching style, his demeanor.

Most of the things that came out of his mouth while he was here seemed hollow. There's a reason it took him 20 years to get his own show.

Such a difference between him and Karl Dorrell-and its refreshing to at least me.

Midnight Mel is right where he is supposed to be... as is HCKD.

Thanks for the one year bump in recruiting, we have a better HC and the Buffs on-field results should elevate the recruiting moving forward. Midnight Mel will resume DC duties somewhere by 2022.
