The 2020 COVID Coaching Carousel

You like that choice?

He recruited well at South Carolina although he's a popular choice among former players, and we all know how that can go terribly wrong. But he's not a true USC guy in the sense that he played there so I think the support from former players holds more weight because of that.

Sure they could. They could also do way better. Have to recruit in the SEC
Thamel has a list. Didn’t see his name. I think it has passed him by. It will take a good agent.
Looked at the list he's got on twitter. Willie Fritz and the two service academy coaches make sense. Sarkisian's definitely not an option in my opinion-I don't see him turning down CU in February only to take Vandy in November. Sonny Dykes would be odd there-didn't he get tired of the academics at Cal before they canned him?

It has to be harder to win at Vandy than just about anywhere else. Harder than Kansas, even. Figure the deck is stacked against you there. You have academic considerations to deal with and you play in a conference where every other school is willing to do whatever it needs to win football games. I’d guess the absolute ceiling at Vandy is 6 wins, and you need teams like Kentucky, Arkansas and South Carolina to not only be down, but to all be on the schedule in a given year to reach that ceiling.

Sonny got tired of the political correctness, the academics and LGBQ stuff at Berkeley!

Lea is probably their best, most realistic candidate. If he doesn't take it then I agree that Healy would be a good hire
Lea is worth the flyer at this point with the connections and the walk on story, as well as his time at Notre Dame dealing with the same academic issues. Will the SEC just allow Vandy to sit there at the bottom forever?
