Just have to laugh at this point. Former NFL HC as his OC and former NFL HC as his OL coach. Alabama is the closest thing we've ever seen to an NFL program at the collegiate level.

So I know DeRuyter is a good DC but it feels like Cal got the better potential out of this.
I think both schools won by getting what they needed.

Good trade for both teams IMO. Heyward gets a long awaited promotion under a really good defensive coach while Cristobal gets a proven DC he can trust to run a talented defense. Cal gets an upgrade in recruiting and Oregon gets someone who won't be a non-factor in recruiting.
