2021 Recruit Profile Index & Recruiting News

Sorry to be the a-hole, but I don't think I've been more unimpressed by a class than this one in 25 years.
I feel like it's hard to remember when Mel Tucker was hired we were two seasons away from that 10 win team, which most of that class were sophomores at the time and could remember us being relevant. Now with KD we had 3 coaches in 3 seasons. That is so hard to sell any commit on culture when you are thrown that deck. Plus, if we aren't good on the football field a big appeal is obviously boulder, folsom, ralphie, etc. How do you sell a DFW recruit whose never been to Colorado on Colorado via zoom. I feel like we are a school that misses out on official visits more than a Kansas, ASU, Arizona, Oklahoma State, etc where their campuses and location aren't great. If we have another decent year, with vaccines, upped travel, etc, I'd expect 2022 class to be a lot better.

Is this our recruiting plan, to wait out D-1A Transfers? Same stuff that I-AA schools do.

I wouldn't even had known it was signing day except that ESPN blasting out how Alabama just signed the greatest class in recruiting history.

Unfortunately Dorrell has led us back to the path of recruiting apathy.

The class is okay, could have been worse. Looks like we are going to sign a big class in 2022. Maybe add 2 to 3 more players from the transfer portal.

You are out of your mind. A class in the 60s is okay? Really? Forgot this was a BB2 take
It could have been worse. Considering the crisis the new coach had to deal with. I like the addition of Ryan Williams, Martin, Baugh, Olson, Carter, Manea, Woods, Oliver, Barnes, Shrout and Penry.

The early signing in December has ruined National signing day. **** the NCAA. I used to look forward to this day so much. Now it’s just another day. Another crap day if you’re a Buff fan. College football and CU football have lost their magic for me. Maybe I have low “T”.

Utah is using the transfer portal well. The Ike loss to Michigan was disappointing. The strategy now should be to add 3 to 4 guys through the transfer portal before fall camp. There is going to be additional attrition after spring ball.

Per the below tweets, the Buffs have another WR/ RB/ LB / S (???) coming to Boulder (as a PWO) in Ben Finneseth, who has been a teammate of fellow CU PWO QB/ S Jordan Woolverton at Durango HS.

Welcome and congrats to him!

PWO looks to be out to this ATH (OLB/ SS per Maxpreps; also an RB per a stats page I found) from Edgar, Wisconsin.

Seems like a really good player to be a PWO
