2023 Colorado Football Schedule & Future Schedules

North texas is probably a stretch but you aren’t getting SMU or houston to sign two for ones with power five schools.
Houston will likely be a P5 School within 10 years They are more able to make the move up than a couple of currently struggling P5's

You're the one who said a home and home with UNT was a stretch and I pointed out that a conference opponent in our league with a similar size stadium to the one we have is playing them in Denton in two seasons. Why would they do a one-off with us given Cal agreed to a home and home with them a few years back?

It is a stretch. North texas is not a program near the level of houston or SMU.

I never said I thought they were. I just know if I'm their AD, I'm pointing to that Cal series as case in point for why I wouldn't do something other than this with CU. Hard for whoever their AD is to give CU two games here for one there or a one off when Cal (who has a stadium that holds more than Folsom does) agreed to a one for one.

Our record against Texas A&M gave me a warm fuzzy feeling for the good ole days.

You know who else gets a fuzzy feeling from that matchup? 'lectric leeland.

Lying there, with anxious faces peering down at him and the plastic grass growing cold under his hands, Leeland McElroy felt a buzz pass through his body, across his arms, to the ends of his fingers. He didn't want to move. This was strange. This was new. Clouds tumbled across the late-afternoon Colorado sky; you could smell winter coming and something else going: McElroy's Heisman Trophy, Texas A&M's national championship, the Aggies' best chance to erase the humiliation of last year's probation--all of it floating up like wispy smoke. "Never had I been hit that hard," McElroy said.

Looking at Cal's future schedules they also do some odd things. They have home-and-home's scheduled with SDSU, UNLV, and Wyoming. They also have a 1-off at ND scheduled, and there's no reason a P5 team should have to play be playing a 1-off game in South Bend.

Don't forget that UNLV now plays in the Raiders' stadium-Iowa State is playing them in Vegas in September. UCLA goes out there too in I think 2023. With the stadium change, I think UNLV's gonna be a popular G5 to play among power 5's now-its not that hard for a recruit from CA or AZ to get to Vegas, and Vegas is a worthwhile place to recruit. SDSU's got four OOC's in a row that feature home games with Pac 12 teams-Two of which are Utah and Arizona. As far as Cal's roadie at Notre Dame......the only reason I can think of to do that is the guaranteed national broadcast on NBC. Still pretty surprising that Notre Dame didn't agree to play them at Levi's in return. Given they're playing five games a year now against the ACC, I'd have thought they needed all the CA exposure they can get.

The ability for UNLV Athletes to rack up NIL opportunities is endless!!! There are some things that you could promote in Vegas that you cannot promote anywhere else! Time to go and get UNLV and Houston as new P12 members!
