550 yards?? So what. I guess he was the best of a young and inexperienced group. He will not lead the team this nor any of the following years he is here. He may lead in catches, but if he leads in yards again we're in deep sh!t.

You can brush it away all you want, but McKnight is the most consistent receiver and best route runner on the team. I'm not sure why you believe Stephone Robinson was ready to have a season anywhere near 550 yards, but perhaps you can clue me in.

I'm not brushing it away. I like speed and to have Pat, Dusty and Scotty at the top of the depth chart freightens nobody. I'm not downplaying what he did. I would have liked to have seen a little more of Robinson to put the deep threat more in the defenses mind. (I know we have J-fly) This would have helped Hugh and the ground game aswell.
 
Btw, Jfly in Ncaa 09 is a definite breakaway threat, especially out of the slot. He seems to have enough accel so that if you throw it to him out of a deep break he almost always is wayyyy open. blitz at your own risk:smile2:

This isn't a video game. A receiver is not a threat if they don't run the right route nor catch the ball with any consistency because the QB won't throw it to him. The QB throws to those who are where they're supposed to be when they're supposed to be there and catch the ****ing ball. McKnight exemplified that for our receivers last year.

I would say McKnight and maybe Geer were the only receiver's to do that at ALL last year. If guys were in position, they dropped the ball a lot. A lot of times they WEREN't in position. You don't need great speed to get open against zone Defenses. You just need the smarts to make the right read and the technique to get out of your cut quick.

Nobody else did that last year with close to the consistency McKnight did. That is why he has a scholarship now.

Did not know he had these issues. That helps answer my question.
