As noted later in this thread, the Kansas game has been cancelled (at the "last minute") due to Covid-19 protocol issues within the Buffs' program.

ABOUT THE BUFFALOES: Colorado is 8-3 overall and 1-1 in the Pac-12 Conference, returning to the hardwood after an eight-day break for finals. The Buffaloes were last in action on Dec. 10, claiming a 65-54 decision over Milwaukee at the CU Events Center.
...

ABOUT THE ROADRUNNERS: CSU Bakersfield is 4-3 overall, coming off a 69-59 setback at Abilene Christian on Dec. 15, snapping a three-game winning streak. The Roadrunners average 67.1 points per game, however that number drops by nearly 10 points against NCAA Division I competition (57.2 ppg). Defensively, Bakersfield is holding opponents to 64.1 points while allowing just 39.9 percent shooting. The Roadrunners lead the Big West Conference in offensive rebounds (12.4 orpg), turnover margin (+2.7) and turnovers forced (16.9 topg).

Bakersfield's balanced attack features four players averaging between nine and 10 points per game. Sophomore guard Kaleb Higgins has a team-best 69 points (9.9 ppg), one point ahead of senior guards Justin McCall and Justin Edler-Davis, each with 68 (9.7 ppg). The senior duo are not only tied in points, they share the team lead in rebounding at 4.7 per game. Sophomore guard Shaun Williams, who missed the game against Abilene Christian, averages 9.2 points with a team-best 15 assists.

Any jeopardy of canceled games? I'm seeing a lot of Covid cancellations this weekend.

Need to see more proof of an identity established today with defense and rebounding. Also need to see consistent movement and paint challenge on offense.

Should be a game we win by 15+.

I like how we are playing so far.

Moving on offense & looking to attack the paint. Defensively handling PnR much better. Rebounding, though - getting out-worked

He started. But I don't see him on court or in bench shots. Announcers haven't said anything.
I looked it on Twitter. Apparently got an elbow earlier and almost fell trying to sit in a chair. Been in locker room since. Hope it’s not a concussion or he’s not playing Tuesday.

Damn.

Jabari took an elbow to the face. Woozy. Went to the lockeroom. Hasn’t come back. Trainers saying he’s not coming back.

CSUB throwing SO MANY elbows. It’s bullsh!t. Especially Stith. They are trash goons across the board.

Settling for too many jump shots that aren’t falling. Take it to the rim. Lovering should just hold the ball up high. No one can take it from him up there.

That was an ugly half. Two bad teams out there.
When you have Battey and Walker in the lockeroom for a large portion of the half there’s bound to be some issues.
For the record, the same bastard elbowed Battey.

The way Lovering's playing today, it's like he's coming off practices where the only shot the coaches allowed was a dunk.

I don't understand why Lovering keeps getting shots blocked, but I loved seeing him get the rebound and then dunk on the guy who blocked him.

That's what our 7'1" dude needs to be doing.... Put it in the head if the guy guarding you that you're going to dunk over him multiple times tonight... And there's nothing he can do to stop it. Get it in his head.

He tends to drop the ball to his waist. Not sure who's coaching our bigs these days, but they need to really start enforcing "under chin or higher."

Tad keeps saying that Lovering is adjusting to the speed of college ball, and is in too much of a hurry when he gets the ball in the paint. I think he'll be one of the great Buffs, in a year or so.

“Lawson is getting better. He just has to slow down. I thought he did a really good job in the first half on a couple of occasions when he got the ball down low and he was in a crowd and he kicked it back out. He made some progress tonight.”
