The University of Colorado men’s basketball game against the University of Kansas scheduled for tonight at the CU Events Center has been canceled due to COVID-19 protocols within the Buffs’ program.
“Our top priority since the start of the pandemic has been the health and safety of our student-athletes, staff and the community,” CU Athletic Director Rick George said. “While we’re disappointed for our student-athletes and fans to have to cancel the game, both schools agreed this is the best decision.”
Fans with season tickets or single game tickets who made their original purchase from the CU Athletics Ticket Office have the following options:
• Request a credit on your account to be used this season.
• Request a refund to your original form of payment.
• Donate the value of the tickets to the Buff Club for double priority points.
You must fill out the form below to inform us of your decision. The deadline to make your decision is 5 p.m. on January 7, 2022. If you do not notify us of your selection by January 7, we will put a credit on your account.
Fans who do not receive an email this evening may email cutix@colorado.edu with their account information and our staff will respond beginning January 4.

Have only done a few secondary market deals but pretty sure the KU fans are getting their money back and the Buffs fans that betrayed the team get burnt.
I’m surprisingly ok with that outcome.
My buddy at the Horse overheard ku fans wondering if they'll be able to get a refund. The thought of chickenhawk fans getting stiffed after throwing piles of cash for tix in the secondary markets is one of the best Xmas gifts I've ever received.... Thank You Covid!

The link above said you need to use your original form of payment if you want a refund. That would seem to say no refunds if bought on secondary. And even if they can get one, it will only be for face value.
They won’t go through CU, they’ll go through the secondary market who will get the money back from the CU fan (assuming they had been paid yet as I believe a lot of sites hold payment until the game is started for this exact reason). The CU link is for people who bought direct from CU.
Can you donate to the basketball team specifically? Email says credit, refund, or Buff Club donation. I don’t want the money to go to some ****ty football coach.

Luckily it sounds like it’s not as severe and moves a little quicker through as long as you’re vaccinated so hopefully they can clear it through the program by 12/30 against Oregon.
