13? That can't be correct, not with all the screeching about "22" around here.
From CUATTHEGAME’s tracker: “To date, there are 16 scholarship Buffs who have already declared their intention to move on:
  • Offensive lineman Kanan Ray (1/12)
  • Running back Joe Davis (1/11)
  • Cornerback Mehki Blackmon (1/9)
  • Wide receiver Brenden Rice (1/1)
  • Safety Mark Perry (12/28)
  • Cornerback Christian Gonzalez (12/23)
  • Tight end Alec Pell (12/13)
  • Defensive lineman Jayden Simon (12/6)
  • Wide receiver Chris Carpenter (12/5)
  • Running back Ashaad Clayton (11/30)
  • Wide receiver Keith Miller, III (11/30)
  • Defensive lineman Zephaniah Maea (11/30)
  • Safety Trustin Oliver (11/30)
  • Wide receiver La’Vontae Shenault (11/21)
  • Defensive lineman Blaine Toll (9/28)
  • Defensive lineman Lloyd Murray (9/27)”
That doesn’t include Senior losses, obviously: Kutch, Percell (leaving early I thought KD said), M. Johnson, Landman, Wells.

That’s 21 total.

Am I missing anyone? (Maybe Matt Lynch, as he was GR Transfer?). That would be the 22.

That is 16 on your list, not 22. Two of them were at the beginning of the season and one after the 13 post was made, which confirms the count. There are between 14-16 in the portal depending on how you account for Murray and Toll, not 22.

My point was.. all these numbers put together may explain where people were coming up with the 22 number that was being thrown around.

The list of 22 is the list of which non-seniors leaving. It does not discriminate between scholly players and walk-ons (i.e. Curtis Appleton) or players medically retiring or just who is formally in the portal. It isn't hard to figure out.

I would've let this go, but you're fairly outspoken on grammar issues here.

that's an "e.g.", not an "i.e."

Well we're going to find out very quickly how good KD is at talent evaluation. A lot of his recruits are going to be playing big minutes very soon.

noting that Munsterteiger's tweet and Broussard's were at the same time, and that someone broke it here a few hours earlier, I'm curious, was Allbuffs the first place this was reported?

I think @The Alabaster Yak told us yesterday we were all over-reacting and that the incoming players from the portal will make it all ok.

Hey bitch, I said that the freaking out about the sheer numbers and then specifically Kanan Ray was dumb. I have acknowledged that losing Rice, Gonzo, Blackmon, Perry and now Broussard is ****ty.

At what point is it too obvious for even someone like Phat Philly D to ignore that the wheels appear to be coming off?
Rhetorical question, the clear answer is never.
