CU has rejoined the Big 12 and broken college football - talking out asses continues

Speaking anecdotally and being around a lot of usc peeps I would say there isn’t overwhelming sentiment in favor of their move. It is more about doing what they felt they needed to do to maintain revenue parity with the top football programs in the country. They want to be elite.

also— it seems a lot of them are on the fence about the execution of this new arrangement but they are willing to pay the price if they get back to contending for championships.

The games against Illinois and Indiana will be the Stuff of Legends.....

Dear Lord I totally hijacked this thread.......but Wilner talking about how important this hire was was ****ing hilarious.

Case in point for how ****ing JV this clown operation is.
Great to see that Wilmer and the Beav just teamed up with a new podcast.

it is easy to ratio the pac for touting this hire, but it really has nothing to do with the tv contract and the association therewith is just internet snarky.

the pac isn't ****ed because they are trying to do what a lot of folks think will make some things better. they are ****ed because they trusted usc, they hired larry scott, and they didn't win enough nationally important games to earn respect. and our poor Buffs took a program that was one of the top 5 in the country in printing nfl players and never, ever left the top 20, at a minimum, into a steaming pile of dead donkey poo.

giving a **** about things other than football is not correlated to the failures.

i don't even hate usc for doing what they did--- they saw what they were dealing with and acted in their own self interest and they had both the resources and the desire to be an elite program. CU cut itself into tiny little shreds through bureaucratic ignorance and worse. that's not on usc. that's on CU.

stay on target. if you want to get mad at someone, look within, not the hire of a someone who is hired trying to do something good.

and, to sacks most salient point-- we are ****ed. an hr hire doesn't change that at all.

****ed.

Blah, blah, blah. The Pac is ****ed because, in the words of Bama Charlie, they don't take their football seriously. And it has little to do with conference employees or university administrators, it's all about the "fans."
