2024-25 Coaching Carousel

Could be a busy carousel since some coaches might feel like they are no longer up to the task of running a football team like what the norm has been.

This decision comes after a thorough external review of alleged noncompliance with university policies that implement Title IX, which require full and timely reporting of disclosures of sexual misconduct — including domestic violence — and prohibit employees from investigating disclosures of sexual misconduct themselves.

Associate Vice President & Deputy Athletic Director of External Affairs Jerry Bovee (Interim Athletic Director, 2023) and Utah State Football Director of Player Development & Community Austin Albrecht have also been dismissed for violations of university policies related to the reporting of sexual and domestic violence and failures of professional responsibilities.

Won't show up on this thread but expect to see a lot of college coaches, head coaches and assistants, moving this year due to NIL.

Some will be looking to move to schools where there is a stronger NIL system to support recruiting, a lot of others will be looking to find NFL jobs where they can focus on coaching instead of having to recruit half a team each year due to transfers.

And as you referrence many may just decide to retire or do something other than coaching. A lot of FCS assistants and even G5 assistants don't make enough to be substantially more than they could make outside of coaching.

And then we'll have guys like Dave Aranda get fired because their teams flat suck.

**** Bailer!

I wouldn’t be surprised to see CSU pursue him. I believe he has ties to the program.
Napier spent eleven months there under McElwaine, so not deep ties. CSU message boards mention Napier a lot as a replacement for Norvell, but I think that would be a mistake. Napier has a really uneven history, and it’s mostly based on ten win seasons at ULL when he had significant talent advantages over the competition. Got exposed at UF.

UF plays at Mississippi State but the game I have been looking at is the UCF game at home after a bye week. After that, just look at their schedule. This season is not going to get better for the Gators.

Jay Norvell's seat is hot right now...nine points against two FBS teams on offense and he's the ones calling the plays. Also that conference move has to play a factor as well.

Gary was also at Texas, too. Maybe Gary is a guy cashing checks these days *or* a guy you don't want around.

or possibly he can see a sinking ship at Baylor with Aranda.

F Baylor in all possible ways and I wanna kick they ass next week.
