2025 CU Resume and Bubble Watch

"Personally, I think that we are primed for a run in the B12 tourney"

If we do somehow win today, then we could be on our way! If remember one year (we had Assad Ali), I think CU made it to the Big8 (maybe B12) tourney final (could have been the semis). I think we played Kansas and the game was really close with Ali having a bank shot in the final minute to have CU go up one. Win today and anything can happen!

I think the bold is the key positive for this season. We never **** the bed.
Yeah. The resume reads to me like a well coached team that consistently showed up but was overmatched against top tier teams.

So I feel validated in not being upset at any players or the job the coaching staff did from the time that practices started through the final game. My anger and frustration is 100% about a failure of an offseason on roster construction.

Sums up my feelings

Final NET of #86.

Final record of 14-20.

Undefeated in Quad 3 & 4 games.

4-5 in Quad 2 games.

2-15 in Quad 1 games.

I cannot imagine a scenario short of a meteor strike where CU makes the NCAA. Any shot at the NIT? Do they still have the CBI? Maybe pick up games at the Arvada YMCA?

I think you're thinking of Tom Miller's last year in 1990. We had a bad team (as usual) and made it to the Big 8 championship game and lost to OU

I heard a comment on the radio today from a college hoops guy who said that how he's now looking at resumes is how selection committee members have told them they look at them.

In a nutshell: throw out the Quad 4 results. Then what you have left is a team's functional record.

The example he used is Texas. Entering today with #38 NET and a decent 19-14 record in a really tough SEC. But they feasted on Q4 opponents. Take them out and you're looking at a 12-14 team.

Compare that with Indiana. #54 NET and a 19-13 record. Take out Q4 and they're 15-13.

If you're on the committee and picking between them for a Bubble bid, who are you selecting?
