The wildest thing on Shedeur isn't really the haters or the online "scout gurus". It's those who were sky high on Shedeur all year. Who have allowed outside noise to effect their scouting on Sanders. I've heard some of the most stupid **** from people I trust. I heard Kurt Warner say, I just tune everyone but the QB out. How the hell can you scout without context. That's the most critical element of scouting is context. It's how you completely miss like Zach Wilson or hit like Justin Herbert. Personnel matters. You aren't going to be a world class intermediate passer no matter who you are if your running game is bad and you have no TE. If your offensive line is ****, you aren't going to be a quick pass team as teams can get to you while only rushing 3 and 4.

I've heard someone say, Colorado needs to run the ball more but at the same token say, the Raiders can't run the ball at all. They must get a RB as they are the worst in the NFL. They got a 3.6 ypc which is the worst in the NFL. Colorado is a 2.6 ypc. By far the worst in the FBS and FCS. It's hilarious how Shedeur has to overcome insane odds and puts up charts like this and still gets hate because he got some bad film...

The film on #2 is excellent. He has always been an excellent passer. Makes smart decisions and can throw into tight windows. He is a winner. The only area I feel he needs to improve on is his ability to get the ball out of his hands quicker and not take the 15 yard sacks. It was a gift to watch him play in the black and gold for 2 seasons.

I think at the college level he thought the better opportunity was to take some lumps to try to generate a momentum play. And taking that shot on 2nd & 10 plus a shot at 3rd & 18 was better odds of generating a big play or 1st down than throwing it in the dirt on 2nd down to get 1 shot on a 3rd & 10. Considering that we had no run game so staying on schedule was irrelevant, he was probably right.

I don't think his calculus will yield the same answer in an NFL situation and he'll pick his spots on that.

I hope I’m wrong, but I haven’t seen anything yet that makes me think that he’ll be a successful starter in the NFL.

Because I think he's got the same question mark on his college film, but with better scrambling ability and not being nearly as good with accuracy, processing or avoiding turnovers.

I agree, I’m not a huge fan of Cam Ward either. I thought he’d go day 2/3 if he entered the draft last year.

This year’s QB class is ass, if we’re being honest.

I’m glad the Broncos got their guy last year.

End of the day, I think the traits that are most common among elite NFL QBs are accuracy, quick processor, pre and post snap read/football IQ, toughness, leadership, and a “winner”/“xfactor” and I think Shedeur has all of these. If you want to argue about his processor being at least partially why he took a lot of sacks, I get it, but he has the rest of these traits no question.

There’s also something to be said for succeeding at a high level even though most of the team around you is mediocre at best. Imagine if he played for Georgia.

I don’t mean to **** on our guy…you’re right he has a lot of those traits, and I don’t want to write him off before he’s even played a NFL snap, but I just feel like I’ve seen so many similar college QBs with those traits and his playstyle that flame out in the NFL.

Our o-line was bad, but I feel like about half of the sacks that he took were on him. You can’t be a successful NFL quarterback unless you’re sometimes willing to just take what’s there, especially with our WR group, which could’ve taken a pass to the house at virtually any point.

Also, his pocket presence and release time aren’t great, especially for an immobile QB, which will be highlighted even more in the NFL.

I just know that if I was a NFL GM needing a QB, I would sit this draft out, draft BPA, and get my QB next year.

Yeah, going in the late first isn’t the worst thing in the world since it means you’re going to a better team. I still think Shedeur goes top six, and there are still plenty of mock drafts that have him going early first round.

I was also thinking that if he falls, the dolphins would be a great fit. He doesn't have the biggest arm, but he very accurate and tough as nails.

I really don't like the Raiders for Shedeur. Chip Kelly scheme is not pre snap friendly. Geno is literally the perfect fit for it. No shock why Seattle traded him to go for Darnold who's a lot better at that part of the game than Geno. Kevin Stefanski scheme is a lot better for Shedeur than anything else I've seen by a mile. I like Callahan be in positin to too but it doesn't seem like the leadership is on the same page with the HC.

I completely disagree with everything you wrote.

Dropping in the draft is horrible, especially when you are a high floor prospect. Low floor, high ceiling guys need it, Shedeur doesn't need it. Chances in the NFL are limited. When you are a high pick, they will give you at least two years in today's sport. Mid or late 1st, you aren't getting more than a year. Top 10 pick, you get at least two years. For someone like Shedeur, he shouldn't need any time, he's ready now to start. That said, you don't want to be a mid to late 1st pick. Top 12 is what you want. You will get franchise QB treatment.

Sorry, but everything you wrote is a horrible situation for Sanders.

Once you fall outside of the top 13, it's gonna be tough. You better be that dude because your chances will be slim if at all.

I’m not gonna argue with you, I think he has all the tools to be great. He’s also got that clutch gene that can’t be taught.

NFL decision makers don’t seem to agree though. Ward is clearly their choice.

I agree that as a pro he will be the better QB of the two. He isn't the runner that Ward is but for all the sacks he took he had a lot more plays where his mobility bought him enough time to find somebody open downfield and hit them. People (mostly media people trying to act smart) don't give him the credit he deserves for being athletic because he didn't do a lot of downfield running.

Between the two he is easily the most advanced in terms of pre- and post- snaps reading and understanding of the defense. That is what wins in the NFL. Patrick Mahomes had 307 yards rushing on the season. He won by finding the open man and part of that was using his mobility to buy time.

There is no way that Shedeur falls out of the first round and if he falls even close to 10 there will be trade offers all over the place for teams looking to move up. There are a bunch of GMs out there with losing teams and mediocre to bad QBs looking at getting fired if something doesn't change quickly. Drafting a QB in the 1st round normally gets a GM and a HC at least 2 more years, and if that QB works out the team wins more games and those guys get more than that.

And don't forget that there are some owners out there staring at losing teams with unsold tickets who won't hesitate to push for a QB,

I think it's more likely that the coaches and GMs of certain teams are afraid of the Sanders name. If you're drafting in the top ten, you probably aren't someone who has a lot of job security. The last thing you want is your rookie QB being strong willed and the potential of this leading Prime to publicly criticize you.

I watch his game and really don't see how he isn't a good NFL QB. Makes all the throws, accurate, strong enough arm, not afraid to push down field but also not afraid to manage a short passing game, can extend plays, tons of confidence.

I am totally biased but he just seems like a great NFL QB.
