Shedeur Sanders - 2023-25 Tracking History Thread - Drafted by the Cleveland Browns (NFL)

Nothing wild. I think you can't immediately dismiss commentary of a supposed NFL scout. However, the anonymity certainly takes some cred away from the quote.

Beyond that:

- Took a lot of sacks, seemingly unnecessary at times even when you consider the OL

- The kNub & BYU games stand out as head scratchers

- His body language towards teammates during the kNub loss is a notable data point, albeit a data point (not a full blown narrative)

- % of yards being YAC
Thanks for clarifying.

Edit: Btw have you thought about changing your name to Buffarino, it flows a little better.

God forbid, he has the audacity to believe in himself. Honestly, I would rather get picked later, the teams picking in the first 10 slots are horrible, later teams like the Broncos aren’t looking to fill massive holes. He’ll be more successful if he goes 20 or later in the first round. Pittsburgh would be the ideal spot for him, great organization.
Yep. As a QB, the money is going to be in that 2nd contract. The way to give yourself the best chance at getting paid as a top QB is if you're on a good team in a well run organization rather than by trying to be the savior for a dysfunctional situation. But even good organizations have up & down cycles, so you can get picked into a good situation in the top 10 - just that your odds are better from 20-32.

I was mostly comparing the national media and fan narrative throughout their respective seasons. I agree that when it came down to draft time, NFL people had their doubts and criticisms.

Most non-CU/Prime fans hated the way Shedeur carried himself once he got to Colorado.

Understood.

Let me play devils advocate here - I think a lot of folks thought Manziel was a clown (and those who thought that were correct...and he earned the ire) even in college. You remember him showing up at a UT frat party? I hate UT and trolling UT is funny, but wtf you thinking kid?

Idk - I do think prime gets a lot of hate and I see some think it is all race based. While I disagree with the broad strokes, I do think you can find the racism-driven hate towards Prime. I do not have to look much further than my own dad to see it. However, if Prime was a different colleges coach, I would probably roll my eyes at his demeanor too, but he is a former corner. Isn't this all by design? I played a little bit of football in my day - nothing big - just bad high school ball, but we had a few decent corners in our league and I felt like the good ones love to get in your head like CP does. You see that in college and in the NFL with the truly great CBs. They all yap and its hilarious if you are on their side.

I thought for sure Dallas was going to take him. I have admittedly not been paying attention this offseason. What is the current projection for Shedeur?

Pretty much every team that interviewed him came away hating him…because like his dad, he’s unashamedly himself at all times.

Brash, cocky, arrogant, etc.

Almost sounds like you're speaking for yourself, because you weren't in the inteviews.

Stop caping for guys just because they went to CU

He taps the ball. He has a hitch. Some teams don’t want to deal with his dad. And he’s a complex personality whose leadership style may not fit in the league among vers.

And he’s very good.

All can be true.
I've never seen good QB's do that? That's inexcusable! Thanks for bringing that to my attention, as always, you're the smartest in the room.

Forgive your son

Yes, one guy that clearly has an agenda with the way he worded that is definitely the rule not the exception!

It’s just weird that guys are in here showing their whole ass defending Shedeur and casting doubt on the legitimate concerns about his game and character.

He’s falling out of the first round…why is that fellas?

You put out there that you have trouble trusting your son for whatever he's done, even though it was the past. That's who you are. Not drunk just have a good memory and know a POS when I see one.

No coincidence that BMP is liking your posts.
My son lives with me now, and he’s doing good now.

He fixed his faults.

Everything I’ve said about Shedeur continues to be true…so…

Also, if you think past indiscretions shouldn’t be taken into account when evaluating one’s future, you’re a special kind of stupid.
