The look at the empty couch with all the Legendary brand stuff was a tough look.
Did you fire them ?Overheard 2 women in my office this morning talking about Shedeur - and they're not even sports fans. However, they had strong opinions that he didn't get picked because he's way too arrogant just like his dad. That's the narrative.
Would it be possible for me to root for Shedeurs personal success while hoping the Raiders lose every game? Say he throws for 450 yards per game but the defense allows 40+ points a game?Clearly, went to bed to early. This thread went sideways late.
I agree with nik, Vegas, baby. That is where Shedeur should be.
Ultimately, decision-makers were split over their concerns with Sanders. Most polled by The Athletic, either Thursday or in the months leading up to the draft, were more concerned with Sanders’ talent than anything off the field. Some said the personality nitpicks wouldn’t be an issue if he had put together better tape.
I think this is the crux of the race issue.SS stayed true to himself. Rolled the dice on his style, bravado, and QB coach. Ward stayed pretty quiet and went #1. Feels like the league does not want brash rookies right now. SS either focuses on proving them all wrong or it eats him up
A black QB that is quiet and doesn't make waves, no problem in today's NFL. A black QB with strong opinions and an unwillingness to toe the line? Oh yea that's gonna be a problem. Kaepernick wasn't that long ago.I have a hard time thinking that black QBs might be downgraded on race when both starting QBs in the last SB were black, the #1 overall pick the past 2 years was a black QB, and last year's ROY was a black QB. There are likely cases of racist individuals in NFL front offices who have prejudices about black folks and had Shedeur's personality hit a bunch of their trigger points, but the argument is thin that him being passed on in the 1st round by every team was racially motivated.
Bruv, I'd say 75% of the owners in the NFL are racist as hell. To them, players are the fodder that feeds the machine that drives their wealth. Over time, it's been widely exposed by both the media and former players that these organizations don't give two sh!ts about them. And if you don't think the Maras made their preference known last night, well, I can't help you.Dude, if I believed the entire NFL was colluding to promote a racist agenda, I wouldn't watch or follow that league anymore.
How much film had they watched?Overheard 2 women in my office this morning talking about Shedeur - and they're not even sports fans. However, they had strong opinions that he didn't get picked because he's way too arrogant just like his dad. That's the narrative.
I love 3 of the 4, but only drunk Daly. McMahon can go **** himself.
Go back and read all the things said about Caleb Williams before the draft, after and during the season. Sure, he was an AA that was the #1 pick, but the sh!it he took for it and during the season had A LOT of undertones.I have a hard time thinking that black QBs might be downgraded on race when both starting QBs in the last SB were black, the #1 overall pick the past 2 years was a black QB, and last year's ROY was a black QB. "Draft guy". Thousands of these "fvcks" out there these days. Most have no more insider information than you or I and couldn't put shoulder pads on the right way if you gave them a manual and a Youtube video.Draft guy on ESPN radio just said he can't find a team that is in love with Shedeur and it wouldn't surprise him if he's the 4th or 5th QB taken.
This thread was an epic next morning readFolks. Everyone just chill and remember that Shedeur is a Buff and this thread should be focused on his success here and hopefully a great day tomorrow. Take the temperature down a tad
Personally I just think it’s more about the spotlight and media circus that comes along with him. He’s not a can’t miss pick and he comes with a lot of pomp and circumstance that most NFL GMs and HCs probably don’t want to roll the dice on.
Draft guy on ESPN radio just said he can't find a team that is in love with Shedeur and it wouldn't surprise him if he's the 4th or 5th QB taken.
The memes today are brutal.I read Sheduer is the first player to have a number retired and not be drafted in the first round

Shedeur Sanders’ NFL Draft fall wasn’t a surprise. Teams never saw QB as first-round talent
The Athletic asked 10 coaches and executives Thursday if they were surprised Sanders was still on the board late in Round 1. All 10 said no.www.nytimes.com
Most don’t. Some do."Draft guy". Thousands of these "fvcks" out there these days. Most have no more insider information than you or I and couldn't put shoulder pads on the right way if you gave them a manual and a Youtube video.
Dolphins would do well to draft a QB nowDolphins radio guy in Miami made the point this morning that Deion casts a very long shadow and the idea that he could or would be coaching advising talking to SS on the side or outside of practices was probably a reason enough to not spend the orgs money in the first round.
I am feeling pretty good about this analysis.Nothing wild. I do not think one can immediately dismiss commentary of a supposed NFL scout as racist because they don't agree with it. However, the anonymity certainly takes some cred away from the quote. So a small red flag will be these reports about his interview demeanor.
Beyond that:
- Took a lot of sacks, seemingly unnecessary at times even when you consider the OL
- The kNub & BYU games stand out as head scratchers
- His body language towards teammates during the kNub loss is a notable data point, albeit a data point (not a full blown narrative)
- Highest % of yards being YAC when compared against his peers.
