I didn't think we were in it. Also, I'm not sure we'll invest heavily in a prep QB this year.
All the big boy programs do it every year regardless of who they have currently. We need to start acting like it.

That’s true but nearly every good prep cube leaves when they don’t start in year one, unless they expect not to start.

We need at least a Ryan Staub level recruit at QB every year. That would be a well-regarded 3* who has a couple P4 offers along with high G6 offers. Guys like that can develop into your starter but, at the least, provide high quality depth and injury insurance.

I agree, which is why, in the portal era, the notion of stocking the cabinet with B+ and above cube prospects has to go away

QB depth is the most glaring position that will suffer from this new era but having great quality depth at any position is pretty much a thing of the past.

I think WR, CB and OLB/Edge are possibly a little easier to keep guys around because there are at least 2-3 starters on every team and another 2-4 rotational guys who get a decent amount of PT.
