Some of those guys really crack me up. I'm glad we are starting to have a passionate fanbase, but c'mon, guys, give it a rest. :rolleyes:
 
It's hard to even go there anymore. I had hoped (but knew better) that nepa and his ilk would find something better to do, and we could use Buffzone for actual discussion of CU football. Not happen', though. :huh:
 
ya, ever since nepa (dr. tom, etc etc) showed up, its been a progressively worse situation and has really deteriorated lately. I am looking forward to the offseason there for the simple reason that less people will be enabling that troll bastard. I don't think I have read anything interesting on those boards since2007.
 
walto_clown seldom, if ever, reads those comments anymore, let alone posts.

Amen to that, Montana. I can't stand all the negativity being spewed there. I think most of them do it just to piss people off and don't actually believe half the crap they write. Thank God they don't come here. If they do, please do a quick ban and spare us all. I truly believe Hawk is the right man, but some changes need to be made. Hopefully they get (and stay) healthy next year and that will be the difference. They have a lot of talent.

Buffzone would never make a good forum for discussing football. It's dependent on a story being printed. In that regard, it's an even worse format than netturds - and that's saying something!

If the trolls are fuskers, then all that says to me is that we're getting under their skin. You don't troll a place that you don't care about. If we weren't some kind of threat, they wouldn't care about the stories that are written in the local paper. Frinstance - you think they troll on Wyoming boards? Or ISU boards for that matter? I highly doubt it.

But not all of the negativity is coming from fusker trolls. It seems to me that many of the comments are from Buff fans who are really frustrated with the way the year has progressed. Well, welcome to the party, pal. It's one thing to make a comment/rant and let it go. Hell, I've done that plenty of times. It's another thing completely to make the exact same comment every time a story gets posted. Some of these guys seriously need to give it a rest.
 
WAYYY too many trolls on Buffzone, it's obnoxious. Not enough people on the Scout board. This forum seems to be pretty good.

It's about accountability. Say something controversial, it's okay if you back it up. Say the same tired thing every time, you should get called on it.

The combo of +/- rep, ignore, post count, notify mod & the rare banish stick are a good things to help create a community of posters. So is the requirement to register before posting. The best thing, though, is the policing of posters by fellow posters who show up day in and day out.

The only stick on BZ is 'report abuse' and the need to register. I wouldn't be at all surprised if Buffzone didn't learn a thing or two from well run message boards at some point.
 
I do read a lot of message boards and Huskerpedia and Allbuffs are by far the two best sights on the internet. This is a great board with great posters.:thumbsup:
 
I read the posts on BZ for the entertainment value only. I guess I don't understand why so many feel it necessary to respond to Whos and Nepa. Doesn't do any good.

I do think that there are plenty of folks that really care about the program and want to see improvement though. I don't mind seeing critics on the site or posts questioning the program direction, but some of it is just out of hand, come on.

I almost think that some of the constant negative posters are under the employ of the BZ... just to drive traffic to the site. :huh:

The level of distain the Nepa character has for Hawk is impressive. He pulls out quotes from a year or better, just so he can post it again in the BZ. I am sure he has them in a DB for quick access... This guy is disturbed. :wow:

I have to agree with this post. This site sometimes is like walking on hot coals for Husker fans, but all in all most of the Buff fans are fair with us Husker fans who want to "risk" being involved on this site.

I probably can't tell anybody because I live smack in the middle of Husker Nation, but the Buff fans around here are some of the most informed Colorado Buffalo fans around when it comes to football.

Husksrpediphilia would be 120% better if RuffBuff were allowed to redesign that logo. Maybe he'd make it look like an octopus.
 
Wally and 87 must still sting some from the last game. Hey, I still say this site has lots of "knowledgable" Colorado football fans. Even if some of them have it out for Husker fans. I'll watch my back!

You misunderstood...I only want you to leave if you can take Junc with you. Since Wally suggested Rep Whore Island, I saw a great opportunity.
