Most Important 3 Game Stretch?

Every game is important, but what do you believe is the most important 3 game stretch to a successful season?

1. CSU, @Toledo, Wyoming - This set of games could set the tone for the rest of the year. Gaining confidence and staying healthy could be pivotal before some tough road games. A loss here could mean bad things to come. Two teams have 1st year head coaches and one team has a 2nd year coach.

2. @WVU, @Texas, Kansas - This set is as tough as it gets. Two to three wins here compared to zero could be the difference between the Holiday Bowl and the Independence Bowl/no bowl.

3. @KSU, Missouri, A&M - A winnable road game and 2 winnable home games. This is our only stretch of the season where we get back to back home games. If things get ugly in the previous 3, the way we respond in these 3 could determine whether we make a bowl game or not.

4. @ISU, @OSU, NU - Hate traveling to ISU in November. OSU was kind to us last time we traveled to Stillwater (34-0 win following an ugly loss in Boulder the year before). Is this our upset of the year? Do we close the season out strong with a win over NU? Finishing strong in Hawkins 4th year could give us a big boost in recruiting.
 
Put me down for #2. We need to win at least one of those games to have a shot at a pretty good season. If we win two of those games, we're set up for a really good season. If we lose all three, we may be in real trouble.
 
Kansas,k-state-missouri,. CU needs to win all 3. I don't think we'll beat WV and texas on the road so these 3 games are crucial. We could be 6-3 headed to ISU.

ps: I know it's not on your list but ....
 
I'll go with option 1. Lose any of those games and we're screwed. The confidence that has taken so long to get established will vanish like a fart in the wind. It's absolutely imperative that we start the season 3-0.
 
Winning the first 3 games should be a given. It doesn't mean anything but it is expected.

If CU loses any of those three games, our football team has bigger problems than just this year to worry about.
 
3... gonna either be the stretch that saves our season, loses our season, or (if we did well in #2) makes true contenders
 
Option 3. CU started strongly last year and fizzled. As we get into the meat of our conference schedule, this team will need to prove it's durability and legitimacy.
 
I say the first three games. Not just winning them, but looking solid doing it. The team went 3-0 last year but it was hard to feel really good coming out of those games.
 
My vote is for the 1st three games of the year. Trip over our di&ks in one of these games and it is going to be hard to recover from. For some reason I like our chances against West Virginia. They do still have the same coach that managed the end of the game so well in Folsom dont' they? Start off 4-0 and I think the confidence within the team will really blosom.
 
i say #3, but i like syko's 3 gamer too. i think when it's all said and done, however it happens, we're 4-2 heading into the #3 set. 3-3 means trouble and we're taking on water....which makes those games all the more important to win. 5-1 would be excellen-tay and time to stay hot.

to me #3 has one of "everything" (minus a game against an elite team) we need for success (8 wins) and haven't done in the last few years.

1. road game we should win.
2. game against divisional foe of equal talent more or less.
3. home game we should win.

knock out these 3 W's and we are in excellent shape to make some noise and probably be ranked.

I agree - with the first 3 wins given, this makes us bowl eligible. To win the North, we have to have these 3 extremely winnable games.
 
#1. I always kind of feel like our next game is the most important. After the season, we'll probably look back and say that CSU-Wyo-Tol wasn't that big of a deal. But we desperately need to sweep those games while answering a lot of questions about this young team.

There were some definite *****s in the armor of that 3-0 start. Needing a last minute rally to beat EWU and a missed OT FG from WVA didn't exactly inspire confidence. If CU goes out and lays the wood to each of the first three teams on the schedule, and by laying wood I mean 24+ point blowouts in each of them, then we'll be well positioned for the next stretch of games.

And that was when the injury bug started hitting us hard. I think we have the depth at those positions to deal with it better this year.

Ryan Miller not going down with a season-ending injury in Game 4 should help a lot as well.
 
I have to go with #3. We should win the 1st three and if we win these three it sets us up for a strong finish and decent bowl game.
