Simmons ineligible? (Currently a rumor)

That is what I'm reading on another site. Apparently it is per Ringo, so I'm not sure if this is coming from Scout or what.

Apparently, he has more academic work to do and will miss Fall Camp and the CSU game?

Sorry to the guys who felt something was off in this situation. I completely read the delay the wrong way.

All goes hand in hand my friend. Hawkins preaches they go after the right guys. No way to spin the WR situation, it falls at the feet of the coaches.

Cannot totally agree. One transfer? Sure, it happens. Three transfers at one position over the course of a year? Something is not clicking there.

I'll agree to disagree. It seems like pure coincidence to me. By all accounts Kiesau was really well liked by the players... As I've said time and time again IMO you can't blame the coaches for Celestine knocking up his girlfriend, J-Fly and his "Rap", Blackmon and his homesickness, and Simmons not qualifying. There probably is more to the story but I don't think you can blame the coaches for all of the above. But, I really think they screwed the pooch by only taking one scholly WR in 08 in Blackmon

I've read the premium post in question.

Ringo NEVER says ineligible in his brief comment. That was a reader interpretation. Says he may miss the CSU game. That's it. Ringo says something official from CU will come later.

The report was exaggerated, IMO.

Would prefer this thread was titled "Simmons Status?" because we are repeating a rumor that isn't even accurate at the source.

Look at Ringo's blog. If this was confirmed, it would have been posted. AS of 3:48 p.m it's not there, so hold out some hope until details are released.
