ON THE EARLY SEASON STRUGGLES-"The fans are dying, but we're dying too. But we want people to care, we're still dying to. But again, we have to be able to flush it. It's interesting, but how many times has Colorado lost to Colorado State and still rallied for a great season? How many times have they lost early and still rallied for a great season? Oklahoma lost a ball game, and their quarterback for awhile, and I'm sure they are going to be okay. The great thing about college football is everybody is so emotional and passionate about it but at the same time you have to be able to handle it on both sides and know that those things are going to happen. You can't let one loss become two losses or three losses, you have to strap it up and get back out there."

We post all of his dumb ass quotes, thought I'd throw this one out there too. I dont have a problem with it. NOW WIN GAMES.:huh:
 
Not a bad quote if he can back it up. Too bad his track record of backing up his talk isn't exactly stellar.

But we don't have the depth or overall skill of Oklahoma. Their backup QB's are probably better than our starter, and they lost to a very good ranked opponent.

That's not really the point. He's talking about not letting one loss ruining your season. Typical coachspeak that you'll hear out of 99% of college coaches mouths.

yup. either that or you are a douchebag. i'm pretty sure there aren't any barnett fans that are happy about the fact that we have a buffoon as headcoach

Actually, you would only hear it out of 50% of the coaches, as the other 50% would have won their first game.

I think I just got called douchebag and he meant it? :wow:hahaha. Oh, how I love the internet. Will say anything to anybody. Wonder if I said I liked a quote that Hawkins said in person to "Drunk Panda" if he'd call me a d-bag. I kind of think not. Pu*sy. And I'd be glad to say that in person.

I don't get it. I haven't followed the board for that long but why does Valdez apologize for Hawkins at any opportunity?

You are right, you have not followed the board for very long. I do not necessarily agree with Valdez, but he is not apologizing for Hawkins. I have never heard an apology for Hawkins. He has said he will take the season as a whole before judging and is not jumping off of a cliff after one game.

As I said, I do not agree with Valdez and am still pretty pissed at our current state. But calling him out is flat out wrong. Dude has added more value with the recruiting efforts than you will in the next 3 years if you stay that long. Just sayin...you might want to hang around a little longer before calling someone like Valdez out.
