Rip Hawk's coaching all you want, but this team is not physically talented at all

Whatever its recruiting, weight program or just laziness on the team, this team is void of major talent.. It has a couple of players on offense but absolutely nothing on defense.. For that slow QB to outrun everyone on the defense is just embarrassing. We are so slow its mind-boggling..


Hawk's recruiting sucks more than his coaching, and that says something.


I challenge anyone on this board to name one player on our defense that has NFL talent.. ONE. Or I'll do one better, one player who you see on the field and you jump out of your seat saying wow, what a hit, that guy is a big time defensive player, etc. NOBODY..


The lack of WR and the young OL along with a mediocre QB play is what is hurting the offense.. Those things are "little things' (see, I'm turning into Hawk:smile2:) compared to the lack of talent on defense.. Its embarrassing.

Hello? We will rip Hawk, because he has recruited this team.
 
The head coach is there to run a good football program.

Program is very bad right now so it is time to find a guy who can make it good.

That's fine, but if you think some other coach is going to come in and turn this around just like that you are fooling yourself..


People who believe we have talent on this team and this is strictly a coaching issue have their heads in the sand.. Bottom line we got a bunch of players on this team that have no business being Big 12 players. And that's as nice as I can say it..
 
If we were just CSU we could have reloaded...........Instead we always are in rebuild......

I'm 40.....I'm a man........Will this rebuild be done in my lifetime.......
 
Exactly.... Jimmy.... These are not the players I went to college with.

Not fooling anything....we suck. Hawk is to blame. This is his team. Bring in someone else to get us back on track.
 
We have a number of guys who are high talent players, almost all are very young but they are there. It's on the coach to figure out how to make the most of the talent available and Hawk hasn't.

Scott doesn't play against CSU, Simmons doesn't play tonight, Smart getting killed due to lack of speed and the younger guys don't get a shot.

We have a severe lack of speed in the upper classes and at some positions but Hawk has failed to use the speed and talent we have.
 
Toledo doesn't exactly have huge amounts of talent but they are kicking our butts by using the talent they have. Coaching. . . why can't we get some.
 
I still think Hawk has the season to turn around.. Odds are it will not happen. But I still do not want a new coach in the middle of the season. That would be a disaster.

BTW. Chris Peterson of Boise for next coach?... =)

Yep, we are actually pretty loaded with talent. Not Texas like talent, but we have talent that should compete with the Big 12. They wont because of coaching, not playing the talent and so on. And you know what, we will lose some players that will transfer to another program and then go on to have NFL careers. We have talent.
 
If he was stuck with Barnett's kids this would be different, but these are now his and his responsibility, times up.

Getting whipped by CSU at home and then getting humiliated at Toledo isn't a disaster?

Where is it? There is NO speed, NONE o defense. A ****ing MAC qb is running down the middle of the field untouched for 61 yards. This team, is awful, the coaches are awful, bring back Barnett. I'd rather lose to Texas 90-0 in the big 12 championship game than this Bull ****. At least we are beating the teams we are supposed to beat and bowling.

WOW i am just ranting and will continue to do so all night long.

Really? Do you watch the game? A lot of what is going on with our players is being out of position and bad routes and not knowing what the **** they're doing. Due to bad coaching. The talent IS THERE!

It is not.. I'm seeing SLOW, SLOWER and SLOWER.. They are a bad team with limited talent ability.

And its not like I'm apologizing for Hawk here.. Its all on him.. I'm just stating that the lack of talent is much more glaring than the coaching..

well, you're wrong. This team has talent, and you're nto seeing it because HAWK IS NOT PLAYING IT!! ALso, hurts when Cody overthrows 3 out of every 4 passes.
