we should at least line him up as wide receiver. he's been wide open on the few times we've lined him up there. might as well use him as much as we can during the one year we have him before he transfers to texas

If anyone on our team were to transfer it wouldn't be in conference.
Why not?
and you have to sit out two years, not just one. They wouldnt grant his release for that.

To be fair, Scott did get a lot of carries against Toledo and he did good, but when you are down 30-3 with the snap of a finger, you aren't gonna see much more rushing. The thing that gets me is, we weren't down that much to csu and we stoped completely running. We still could have in that game. But for us to have much of a chance vs. Toledo, I do understand why we started passing.

agreed. i mean, we were down 30-3 at the half. it's not like passing every down with cody gave us a good chance to win that game either. especially when cody threw like 3-4 interceptions. if we had a balanced offense with mostly scott running the ball, those could have been 3-4 more touchdowns. once again, we abandoned the running game too early. but at least we didn't abandon it as quickly as we did in the first game.I don't. The running game is the aspect of the offense that is doing good for the most part. The problems on offense stem from the passing game. The OL is struggling with pass protection, our QB is running for his life again, and even when he isn't he's still missing open receivers. When he is finding his receivers their still having trouble holding on. McKnight and Espy aren't game breakers and probably easy for the defense to key on if they're your top two recievers. Scott had some long runs on Fri night, just give him the damn ball regardless.
cody had around 5 yards per attempt (the more important stat) and scott doesn't fumble nearly as often as cody throws picks. When you're running for 9 yards per carry, you really don't need to stop. ****, that's up there with, or better than, Cody's yards per completion.

when the opposing team is averaging almost 10 yards per play (624 total yards on 66 snaps), there is not much the offense can do. They scored 38 points and the game wasn't even close.
