this quote from thier site says a lot to me about whats wrong with our RB situation:

Stewart ran all over the Mountaineers a season ago, and so far this season has shown a terrific ability to run after first contact. Of his 165 yards on the ground, 83 of them have come after being hit by a defender. It will be vital that the Mountaineers don’t just hit Stewart, but get him to the ground before he can get into the type of rhythm that he ran with last year.

Rodney Stewart seems to be our toughest runner.
