****ing yoga? Jesus H. Christ in a chickenbasket.
I am so inhibited I can taste it.
this is not a bad thing.
Strength, balance, flexibility. Get over your inhibitions about what makes football players better.

I'm fine with that for the heavier players, but the ones whose bodies allow it should be doing plyometrics for those things. As for their mental preparation for games, I don't want them to be relaxed. This isn't ****ing chess.
Don't tell me you didn't see this coming from miles away.
No sh**. Still, yoga fixed a chronic hip problem for me. And even though I'm almost as old DBT I can bend forward and kiss my knee. Let the wise cracks commence...
I guess that'd be usefully if you could still get it up.
I don't have an issue with this. Yoga is a solid physical exercise. So long as it's done as a compliment to their regular training, I think it's a good thing.
My biggest fear is that this is just a "little thing" that Hawk thinks will make us "pop". If this is the kind of stuff that Hawk thinks is going to put us over the top, he's delusional. Football is about blocking, tackling, running, throwing, kicking. It's not about keeping yourself centered.

Doesn't p90x use yoga too?
That was AJ, asshole.
I'd personally argue that balance and leverage play a huge part in that though. I don't know how many times I could have seen someone like Speedy break one for a TD if his balance was just a tad bit better after contact. Same goes for our OL and DL getting shoved around.
Our tackling is horrendous though. No way to spin that.
somebody help me with the right word.
If it works for Jim Rome then it must be good for the team.

There's no arguement about the benefits of strength, balance, conditioning, or mental focus.
It's just that olympic mogul skiing and judo are much more manly ways to get there.
Yoga is just so....um....somebody help me with the right word.
That's a part of it.Zen.
That part of it to.Estrogenic.
