Kirk takes familiar trip

Alex Kirk didn’t need to go to New Mexico this weekend to see what the place looks like. He’s from Los Alamos, N.M., and has been there several times already.


Kirk was expected to find out if the Lobos are a good fit, and if he needs to go much further into the recruiting process.


According to his father, Alan Kirk, Alex is next scheduled to receive home visits from West Virginia, Maryland, Oregon State, SMU, Minnesota and, on Wednesday, Arizona. Alex Kirk has already visited UA unofficially.


“He’s looking to see if he wants to schedule a few more” official visits, Alan Kirk said. “The last I checked with him, he wanted to get this resolved by the time we start our season on Nov. 2.”
