#11 CU v #3 Baylor - March 17th, 6.40pm MT - NCAA Tournament 3rd Round Game Thread

All things considered ... I think I'd rather have lost by 17 (yeah ... I know ... it's Bailer :rolling_eyes:) than have lost like Purdue just did to the squawks. Led almost all game and crumbled in the end trying to run ou the clock ... lost by 3. :huh:
 
I don't really get this irrational hype around Baylor, they seem to have ESPN and NIke in their pocket. They apparently landed Kareem as well.


What they're losing: It's a pretty safe bet Scott Drew isn't going to be able to fend off the NBA's recruitment of Perry Jones III this year. Jones' late-season surge -- as if he needed one in the eyes of the scouts -- solidified the millions he's on the verge of making. Quincy Acy has exhausted his eligibility, and there's always the chance that one of the Bears' talented youngsters will test the waters as well.

What they're adding: The Bears trade one lottery pick for another as Isaiah Austin(Arlington, Texas/Grace Prep) comes into the program with the look and feel of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Yep, in Waco they mean business when it comes to lottery bigs, and Austin is next. He'll be flanked by efficient rebounding maven Ricardo Gathers (LaPlace, La./Riverside Academy), point guard L.J. Rose (Houston/Westbury Christian) and the versatile and possibly undervalued forward Chad Rykhoek (Fort Worth, Texas/Christian).
 
That's the same Isaac Austin that Josh Scott lit up this summer, right? Yeah, that's what I thought.
