To be or not to be a Buff that is the question for DT Poet Thomas who recently commented, "Two roads diverged in a yellow wood...ah to heck with it, Roses are red, violets are blue, I wanna be a Buff and you should too."

Does it say something good about the staff when a kid goes from not even knowing that Colorado has a school to having us in their top 3?

In his article Poet says we're recruiting him as an OL

I like him better as an OL. I don't think that having guys who can't run works for a Pac-12 defense. He's too tall to play a 3-4 NT, so it would be hard to find a spot on that side of the ball. As a RT or even a guard, he could be a road grader. Agility is really the big issue. Can he get out on screen passes or to the 2nd level (or even pull)? From his film, I think he can.

Edit: I'm switching him in the database to an OT. That's where Rivals and Scout now have him.

In that kid's defense, I had only heard about CU prior to being recruited in 1987 because of the 1986 upset of Nebraska. Other than that I knew nothing of CU football.

What about big john henry? richard seymour? ngata had to be close to 6'6''. If he can stay low I don't see a problem at DT, but if the staff is saying OT, I'll go with them.

Ideal combination of OT size and DT agressiveness. I hope that he and the guys we already have committed are a sign that our offensive line strategy is going more in the direction of agressively dishing out punishment rather than the passive style that characterized the last years of our former coaching disaster.

I can't believe we'd have room for him. We cannot afford to take another OL unless it's one with major offers. Seems very unlikely this guy has a Florida offer, but not one from Michigan, MSU or Illinois given hsi statements that he wants to stay close to home.

he has an offer from florida, however they probably wouldn't accept his commitment at this time.
