Well then about a month ago Miss St. told him he had to greyshirt in favor of a 2 star qb with no big offers. Doesn't seem like CU tried to get back in the mix (not saying they could have landed him) so it would appear they like Montez a lot.

I remember hearing something about that but Rivals has Virgil listed as Undeclared with no offer from MSU (Maybe he decommitted and they're just not including it on his list anymore?). Either way, undeclared, has an offer from all the "big boys", including CU.

There is a whole recruit thread on Chason if you want the story laid out for you. They wanted him to graduate early and enroll in january and then they pulled his offer and asked him to greyshirt like 3 weeks before he graduated or something like that.
 
Hey, we have Montez committed, CU will be just fine. Should not resort to begging, that is not very flattering.

Little surprised Butch didn't have a QB on board already.
Would like to have known who was still after him as most places filled up early.
