Recruiting wrap: Coye Fairman has garnered early interest from Colorado State, LSU, Memphis, Louisiana-Lafayette, Stephen F. Austin, and attended Houston's Junior Day.The scoop: Fairman is a big receiving target that measured in at 6-foot-4, 190-pounds and was not far off from being the top overall performer at the Combine. He recorded the top overall shuttle with a time of 4.08 as well as the top overall 3-cone with a time of 7.06. Fairman's vertical jump of 30-inches was tied for the thirteenth best mark at the combine. |
Jumbo WR/TE kind of guy?
Jumbo WR/TE kind of guy?
99% sure this is in the wrong forum
And that's what happens when you don't fully read an entire thread. And you would be wrong. :smile2:
Has this been updated? No offers, other then Lamar?
True, but no rankings at all. Seams a bit strangeMay be that teams are waiting on his grades.
I think he'd fit well in a Devin Funchess type roleHis first half of Senior year highlights wouldn't load for me, but his Junior year highlights look promising. I like that half his "highlights" were of him blocking down field... Not only blocking but absolutely pancaking the defensive back.
Obviously not the fastest guy on the field, but he seems to make up for it with his size for jump balls and breaking tackles. Unless he's able to put on 40-50 lbs in the next year or two, as well as gets coached up extremely well on the technique require, I'm not sure how well he projects as a true TE, but he's definitely an athlete that would give the offense flexibility.
Why JUCO? Grades?Sounds like (per Adam) CU is going to be in good position to sign Fairman after he bounces back from JUCO. He had a monster season as a senior. And he's going to be a big WR rather than a TE, it appears.
Almost 90 catches, over 1300 yards, bunch of TDs. Dude can play.
