He's 17 years old, come on manI love his athleticism and would love to have him. But I wonder about the durability of these light linebackers. Is that the way we are going in order to keep up with the up tempo spread offenses in the pac 12? It just seems like many of them never gain the weight to be durable. Gilliam, Gilbert for example.
I wouldn't worry about size with this guy. 6'3'' 220 is not small, and he looks to have the frame to put on another 20 lbs easily.I love his athleticism and would love to have him. Nickname hell! When he's a Buff, one of the local sushi joints should name a roll after him.He is Pookie. You don't need a nickname if someone goes by mother ****in pookie!
All the other linebackers in the rivals database that list Colorado are 17 also. He's the only one under 205 pounds. The kid looks great. Just saying it seems like we are recruiting lighter linebackers and I hope they can stand up to the abuse. He's 17 years old, come on man
Who cares? He's 17. He hasn't been in a college program and has the frame to add more weight. Out of everything to be concerned about, him being 205 is the least of my concerns. Gaining weight is not difficult and he won't be playing as a freshman unless he is a standout. All the other linebackers in the rivals database that list Colorado are 17 also. Then go JUCO, we should be at the point now where undersized guys are only gonna play because of injuries or they are balling out and deserve it.Legitimate question, but I think he has the frame needed to put on weight. We do need bigger LBs at some point.

Exactly. I'd be willing to bet he's 225ish by time he steps on campus, which is more than ok for a 18 year old.If Pookie was 235 he'd be choosing between USC, Alabama, and Ohio State. No question. Those guys don't project even weight.
Of all the things to project, this is the least risky. He possesses every other tool.

I agree. Thankfully we seem less inclined to let height slide in this class.
6'3 205 going into your senior year is very good size.
I think this has a lot to do with who is recruiting the defensive side of the ball now.I agree. Thankfully we seem less inclined to let height slide in this class.
